Hey Chummers, we're teaming up!  That's right, if you've clocked hundreds of hours playing table top rpgs but most of that time WASN'T Shadowrun, then you might belong here.

If you've read through Shadowrun books, have a sense of the setting, have made a character or two, and have never actually played (or only played a few times) this also might be for you.  If you take role-playing seriously...because it's awesome...and play different types of characters with different styles and enjoy how characters can work together as a team, this is probably a good place for you...

BUT if you are in this just to shoot things, including the other characters, or like this game just because of the more adult content...then we should probably be in different games :)

(I don't normally write posts that way, but I wanted to be as clear as I could.  Hopefully you understand what I'm getting at.)

The plan: a bunch of experienced role-players who are new to SR band together, create characters, and see if we can attract a decent experienced GM.  If we don't find a GM we rotate between those of us who want to GM and/or have lots of experience GMing other games.  If all else fails but we have a solid group of players I would consider throwing myself to the sharks and GMing most of the time...maybe...

Cheers,  Raven

were you looking to start a PbP or something over voice chat like Google hang out or Skype?

If it's PbP I'm OK to join. If not... well, I'm too busy.

I'm down with either...for the moment let's imagine that what ever you prefer is what's going to happen...then we can see what generates the most interest, or do one of each :)

I am good to join if it's a PbP; otherwise, I just don't have the time to block out a Skype/Google Hangout game.

If you are interested in a 'platform' perhaps you'd like to check out my 2075 campaign thread...? We could always use more GMs!  My SR5 is still a little dubious but we've got a lot of experience between us for lending a hand.  It's basically RAW pbp but with a tweak to the karma/cash rewards so that you can see some progression in a pbp character (games oftern die out before any karma gets dished out!).

Oh, and I'm really keen on role play rather than roll play!  Rules take secondary importance to the story!

PBP:  I'm interested.

Skype or some variation of that:  I'm interested, but it would depend on the time.  My schedule is pretty tight.

If people are OK with playing 4th edition, I can run one of the free Missions, it's a one-shot.

If it's PBP i'm interested, although if it's 4th I will have to sadly decline. Learning fifth is enough trouble for me already :)

Seems like there is interest in both 4e and 5e PBP.

I would be down for both, I would be more help with 4e and prefer those rules so far, but game to learn 5e, and I'd be stoked to be a part of each game!

Should be keep recruiting folks here?  Or start separate threads 4e and 5e?

I'm interested.
Never done a PbP game before, kinda tentative on willing to agree...  Would prefer voice-chat but it all depends on the 'when'.

Cool, seems like everything is getting interest, PbP and real time, as well as both 4e and 5e!  Awesome!  Let's have it all ;)

As far as Skype/real-time-whatever goes Tuesday and Wednesday are best for me...pretty much any time of day/night is okay.  Other days are a bit more hit or miss, sorry, weird schedule, and some what subject to change, lol!

For PbP I can probably post a few times a day on most days, and if we are only posting a few times a week that's alright too...just goes real slow!

Aint that the truth. PbPs are fairly glacial, but currently the only thing I have time for. As for what edition, I would prefer 5e, because I am much more familiar with the rules, although I can pick up 4e books and get myself learning.
