The campus opens itself up to Hopeless.  Decking be damned, this is hard to beat.  He notes a surprising lack of awakened auras around him.  Even when the students pour out of the AML, Hopeless isn't impressed, though, wait, he spots one, maybe two auras in the group that seem familiar to him.  Instinctively, he pulls the hat closer around his face.

Well, this is frakkin weird. Aint this the magic lab? Those two have gotta be faculty if i recognize em. He squints his meat eyes under the brim to try and make out faces without being too obvious about it.

There seems to a definite lack of any astral presence on the campus itself.  No watchers, and no real wards except around the AML and the Campus Security Office across campus, which appear as hazy blocked off masses.

Just like old times.

On the south side of the quad a group of students with obvious cyberware who are exuding confusion, frustration, and a general lack of direction have gathered.

Ian's blood runs cold in an instant. Oh SHIT. That's GOTTA be those retro-futurists. We gotta get the fuck outta here.

"Breeze, we're getting out right now. Play cool." he mutters and begins walking north, away from the angry chromed men. His mind is racing as he gives mental orders through the crappy blue metalink in his pocket...

>> Activate Drone: Lil Rambo
>> Order--> Lil Rambo: Idle mode
>> Order--> Lil Rambo: Arm gel rounds

>>Order--> Jacket: ChangeColorPattern

...then reaching his voice out through the astral again, Friends! Some, Whil, Terrance! I might need yall here in a minute!

He clenches his fist around the frag grenade in his other pocket, running in silent mode, praying he doesn't need it today.

While Marcus had nothing against Orks, especially ones that do work, he wasn't a bleeding heart and wouldn't say anything to the kids about what they were doing. He was interested in the fact that they were going to do a demonstration on Monday, which could make things a little easier for them. He would listen about what exactly they were going to protest and maybe even a name of their organization to relate this to the group and get a plan together. He would continue to look like a patron eating his food and his soykaf. Hell, he'd treat himself to a second cup of it. It was all in the pursuit of knowledge anyways.

"Yeah, Drampe is a piece of shit. People been wonderin bout where his money comes from for a long time, but no one knows anything. Honestly, if there's a way to implicate him in this thing here, I say we do it, even if just as a red herring for anyone trying to track us down. Not to mention, if he IS sitting on some undocumented funds, then I feel like some of that is supposed to be ours, y'know?"
"I hear you, if the guy is as dodgy as he seems it might help if we can find a way to do it. Only thing is if he is that deep in ‘Raku pockets I’m not sure what good it does us."

Breeze finally gets around to answering the message from Archive once he realizes that he sent his message from his burner link.
<<Shit forgot I was sending from my burner, sorry bout that, but yeah grassy knolls are way overrated, 2 drones with sniper rifles and apds from 500m vertical, create a crossfire zone and nothing gets out unless you let it :) Breeze out>>

He then finishes getting his stuff settled before jumping in the shower and heading out with Hopeless to check out the Applied Magics Labs. They stroll around for a bit, Breeze letting Hopeless control there route until they reach the labs, "I want to get a look see from as many angles as I can, can we take this trail here?"

God-damned fucking nutri-soy bullshit.  Every day.  And I gotta work a double?  Move those fraggin' hellhounds up to the fourth floor in two separate elevator trips.  I should be getting hazard pay for this.  And why the hell is McCormack giving me the names of these gits.  Really?  Princess and Bunny on the west hall, while Sophie takes the east.  They all look the same to me.  "Be sure to leave Tex on the third floor."  Whatever, McCormack.  Why don't you get off your wide fraggin' ass, and do some of the heavy lifting yourself.  I hate that fraggin' ork.  One'a these days I'm gonna visine his soykaf.  I wonder what Joe's making for dinner tonight?  The new "Antebellum Gunsmith" should be on tonight.  At least that's one thing to look forward to. . .
Upon returning to his body in the car, Loki turns around to the others. "Well, I wasn't able to confirm what kind of dispenser these guys have got, but I know that there's four hellhounds; get this, they're called Princess, Bunny, Sophie, and Tex! Looks like there's going to be three of them on the fourth floor tonight, and one on the third. Apparently they're locked up during the day, and someone named McCormack seems to be in charge of them and/or the guards. Breeze, can you do some digging on this guy? He might have the full schedules" The rest of the ride was thankfully quiet, and he followed Jules into the safehouse with the others after having the car park itself.

Quote
"Loki! Join us for a moment if you’d be so kind. So, I managed to wrangle some information you guys might find useful about the top dogs at the labs. Head honcho is this guy named Drampe specializes in manipulation magic it seems but hasn’t done much if any work outside of the school system, been here for around 15 years or so. Didn’t have time to dig up any real dirt on him but he seems to be rather too creative about his finances, probably kickbacks from ‘Raku or something. Might be able to track down something more solid but I don’t know if it would really be of any use to us."

"Now someone who is of interest to us is this chick Owlfeather, she apparently runs the trials they’re having with the ‘Weed. Well, from what I understand of how that stuff work it would make sense at least. She is apparently really concerned about us poor folks who can’t peek into astral."

"I’ve also confirmed that they are using the Renraku monster as a dispenser so securing legit access codes would be very welcome, that thing looks like a bitch to crack. We need bio if we’re going to get admin access without me trying to hack the thing. Other than that we can always default to the trusty method of chainsaw but that’ll bring all sorts of new problems to deal with."
Loki smiled as Breeze went on "Nice work, chummer. Once we get a list of who's got access, I'll need you to run some searches on these guys. My thoughts? We steal one of their identities, with a little help from yours truly, and then figure our a way inside. What floor is this thing on, anyway; there's hounds on the third and fourth tonight, at least, but I don't know about later. I'll see what I can find out."

Quote
At this point Breeze leans up against a wall so he can view the whole team speaking a bit louder, "Now, I’ve got a question for you all to ponder. How do you fellas feel about us, me perhaps in particular, taking some small risks that might bring in extra paydata? If shit absolutely hits the fan it could bring some heat on us but I would consider that an unlikely outcome."
At the mention of paydata, Loki shrugged. "Your call, man. Just don't get pinched, wiz? I'll head out and socialize for a while. Don't wait up!" he chuckled, as he headed to the bathroom to get ready.

Quote
"Oh my God," Carla says over a soyburger in the mall food court.  that would be so great if you came here.  I mean, the faculty is just like super knowledgeable, and the TAs are just wiz.  Who's showing you the campus while you're here?  Is it Dr. Ken.  I hope it's Dr. Ken.  He's just nova with the students, ya know?  Who's with you on this trip?  Did you take your parents along, or some friends?  Hey, if you're not doing anything later, a few of us MS kids are getting together for a party.  Would you like to come? I hope you don't mind me saying this, but your aura is just so bright, ya know?  I mean, wow."
With an internal sigh, Loki forced the smile to remain on his face as the girl went on. "Man, this one sure is chatty..." he thought, before replying. "No guide, at least not yet. I'm just here for the weekend, and I'm all by myself. Call it... an adventure." He winked and smiled even wider at her before going on. "Perhaps you'd like to show me around?" he suggested, and then let the rest of the conversation flow naturally, nodding and smiling as he half-listened to her go on and on. "Full of enthusiasm, that's for sure. Probably never lived a rough day her whole life. A party, eh? Could be interesting; sure beats sleeping the other place."

He read through the data packet as he got up to leave with Carla, and forwarded everything to the others with a few comments.

>> Hoi, check this out. Drampe and Owlfeather are both on the list, and I've got a lead on Ms. Rhoades (don't ask, and I wont tell :) ). Anyone know who the hell Odysseus Max is? No notation next to his name, suggest Breeze does some digging. Oh, and I'll be heading to a party later; like I said, don't wait up.

"I'm fairly sure the Johnson said it was on the fourth floor, getting confirmation would be good though. I'll put this McCormack on my list, I want to take the time and try to dig a bit deeper on the Doctors, at least that Drampe fellow. Since we either need to get biometric samples or do some hacking to get admin access knowing who has admin access would be very, very helpful. I suspect the regular clearance is only for dispensing one dose at a time, that's how I would set it up at least."

The ROOF! Good Idea!

"I dunno, maybe, I never tried to get up there." he mutters, walking as casually as he can next to Breeze. "But yeah, chummer. We need to worry, cause if those guys are here, cops aint far behind em, and I got a lot of illegal hardware on me."

It'd be a good idea though. If some shit pops off, you could get it all on video. Maybe help ID a few of those assholes or something.

Ian glances back and forth as he walks, looking for potential cover and a way up to a rooftop nearby.

@Breeze and Hopeless,

Hopeless looks at the building Breeze had cocked his head to: Sewell Hall.  He answers that it's just a dorm, and the two set off to check things out.  On the way across the quad, Breeze sees what kind of icons there are to see.  Cameras are everywhere, hooked to buildings and streetlamps alike.  On the southern side of the quad, next to the jumpsuit drekheads, he notices an icon way up in the sky.  Whether it's a surveillance drone from the school, or a personal one from the group is hard to say.  As they enter the main lobby, they see a number of students hanging out in the commons.  A small number are watching the trid, but the majority have slaved their comms and are running a twenty-man kill team on Battlefield: Sarajevo.  Breeze can spot a Rating 1 keypad maglock anywhere, and sure enough that's all that's standing between them in the commons and the rest of the dorm.  There's a security window, but the RA on the other side of the glass is a lot more interested in handing out prophylactics to the two cute boys in front of him than he is in whatever these random two dudes who just wandered in are up to.  Also, with the traffic, Breeze thinks they might just be able to follow someone with a legit card on their way in or out.  He knows that so long as he looks like he belongs, nine times out of ten, nobody will mess with him.

As they consider their options, one of the students in the commons broadcasts his most recent kill, a beautiful use of a car bomb, if there is such a thing, and mocks the young lady two seats down who is nothing but a digital smear.  Breeze's comm does a dance.

@Dantes,

The group is jumpsuits has just received their meal, when one takes a call.  He leaves the diner for a second, and the rest dig in with the spirit of arcology kids  who have finally found an "authentic" cuisine.  Dantes sips his soykaf.  When the one who took the call returns, he's a little agitated, or excitied.  Maybe both.  He sweeps his blond hair out of his face, and says to the others.  "Some drek going down at the quad.  Marshall wants a little backup."  With that, he pays, and the group heads out to the parking lot.

@Loki,

Carla seems intrigued.  "I'd be happy to show you around.  I don't have any classes until Tuesday, so, you know, I'm pretty open, and if you're still around then maybe you could come to my SS3 class.  Sorry, that's Spirit Summoning.  We like, really break it down here because there's just so much to know, ya know?  So what you do you think about this party?

Loki nods along as Carla talks. "That would be wiz, Car'la; I'm still working on my summoning basics myself, so I might just take you up on that class. As for the party, absolutely! I couldn't refuse a pretty girl like you for all the nuyen in the world..." he trails off by looking straight into her eyes and giving her his best roguish grin.

Carla gives her best southern belle blush, and drains the last of her FizziPop.  The two make their way back to All-N, where Carla has picked out a belt and a garish t-shirt emblazoned with the words, Patty-Cock, which shows two orks playing the children's clapping game but with over-sized phallic fingers.  She takes these "wiz finds," to the counter where the clerk rings up 134¥.  Carla hangs back a little to see if her gentlemen caller is going to insist on picking these items up for her.

Grimacing internally at the girls taste, Loki played his part as a suave nobleman to perfection. "One second, my dear, you need a skirt to go with that top." He proceeded to rummage around in the store, keeping a close eye on her reactions as he pulled out one skirt after another, and finally settled on an equally garish miniskirt that he could afford and that she really seemed to like. Bringing the additional item up to the counter for her, he smiled at her as she played coy. "Allow me, Car'la; I insist." He paid for the clothes with his Gold credstick and a smile for the check-out clerk, and with his arm around Carla's waist as they walked out of the store he whispered into her ear. "You know, I should very much like to see you model these for me later..."

In sperethiel Carla says, "Oh, Se'ranshae, I love it. Are you sure?" she adds as she places it on the counter.  To the clerk she adds, "Once you've scanned these, I'd like to wear them out."  A few minutes in the dressing room, and Carla emerges a new woman, ready to hit the party in her new threads.

God, I almost miss this place. Constant gaming, women everywhere, magical training wherever ya look for it. Ahhhh, the bad ole days.

Ten years ago, Ian would be in the crowd like "I GOT NEXT!" but now aint the time for that. Right now, the name of the game was to wait for a group of 4 or 5 people headed through the door and just sorta blend with em. After that, it should be a quick walk to the roof. That is, unless Breeze can pop the lock or something before an appropriate party comes along.

Marcus would finish his soycaf and pay his bill, giving a slight tip to the server. He would leave the diner and head out to where he parked the bike to start her up and start heading to the college. He was curious about what was going on there and how the rest of the group was doing. 'Oi, sound off you guys if you haven't gotten your heads blown off yet.' He would say with a slight smile as he drove legally back to the college.

Breeze is singularly unimpressed by the crowd hanging around the dorm, I hardly think this lot would react well to a Yakuza tutor with a switch in his hand, well it was not exactly as fun as this seems, effective, sure but not fun..

Hey, man. All this traffic, we could probably just sail on in. No need to take any chances on getting caught picking locks, dig.

Breeze picks at Hopeless' sleeve before walking towards a group making their way through one of the doors, Yo dude! Hold the door please. Catching the door and letting the guy continue on his way Breeze grins and holds out his hand, Thanks man, didn't feel like digging out my keycard. Name's Mike.
