@Loki,

It isn't until about noon when Loki gets a reply from Sofia.

>>Message: Finger food sounds delicious.  I'm working a full 10 today.  Will you be back in DFW tonight?  Lazy Sundays are the best.

@Breeze,

Archive turned over the business card in his hand as the pair walked the museum.  For a Saturday, it looked as though there were still plenty of class trips about, as some drab corp-designed personas gave lectures to a more colorful crowd.  The occasional IC security milled about as well, mostly on the lookout for rogue AROs being posted by mischievous high schoolers.  Archive stops in front of a perfect rendering of a winged statue, obviously Greek, missing both its head and arms.  Despite the obvious shortcomings, the figure looks powerful and also incredibly feminine -- the tunic clings to her breasts, displays her navel prominently, and the body thrust forward toward victory.  He spends a long moment looking at the statue, goes back to the business card, and speaks.

"This is good.  I can use this.  If you're looking for trade, I can get you blueprints for the lab, or half the schematics on the other.  I'll tell you what I could really use, though, is some of the footage of Friday.  All the students got is only feeding into the conspiracy theorists, the quality is so damned bad.  If you could get the feeds from the security cameras themselves, omae, I'll get you that info you want and another 2 for your troubles.  whaddya say?  We got us a deal?"

After hearing Breeze's reply, Archive gives the statue one more look, and goes to continue his trip around the Louvre.  "I know you've gotta get back.  I'll stick around here, and take in the sights.  Let me know."

"Yes, I’ll have to let the team have a say but that is a good deal as far as I can tell."

Once Breeze comes back, Ian pipes up. "Ok, Drampe here, I know him. Prick. Always thought he was in league with these assholes in some way. Guess I was wrong. Dr Ken. I know him, too. He's good people, but yeah, lets just say the file on him here is pretty accurate. No one else really sounds familiar except Felicity and Compton here. Couple of TAs i used to know a little bit from back in the day. Basic drones, but good folks nonetheless. They probably don't remember me. Also, It looks like these fucks are planning to geek Compton, doesn't it? That's what plumber means, right?" He looks down at the ARO floating in his lap for a moment, then back at Breeze. "I know it aint exactly why we're here, but should we, like... maybe, do something about that?" Then, an idea hits him and his eyes light up.

"Ooooh! What if we went to Compton, told him what was up with RF and tell him we'd keep him safe for a small fee. Then, while we've got him locked down of his OWN CHOOSING, we impersonate him, use his ID to get in, grab what we need, and be out. We get the stuff, he gets all the heat, and we get paid twice." He allows himself a little smile. "Eh?"
Already feeling the antihistamines taking effect Breeze is almost ready to partake in civilized conversation, "Not a bad idea, we need Loki on board for that though, can’t let that Compton chump get a look at any of our faces. Thing is though, I’d assume we need an admin pass to get the weed in a reasonable amount of time. You think this guy got that kind of cachet?"

"We should check your video though, if it’s good I know someone who’d be interested in acquiring it in exchange for the blueprints of the labs and schematics for the B-43. If it doesn’t satisfy the standards required I could hack some cameras instead, but you had a good angle so we can hope it won’t be needed."

His smile drips off his face. "Oh yeah, probably not. But his ID and whatnot could at least get us in, right? I mean, that's... that's a step in the right direction, right?"

Ian purses his lips together in thought. Well, yeah. I guess we could do that... It's just that, well- i mean Loki, He's like- i mean, like, his face, it's ALL over it. We'd have to edit him out first. WAIT! That's probably not even his real face, huh? Here, let's take a look." Reaching into his shoulderbag and taking out his trid projector, Ian sets it up on the coffee table and plops back down on the couch to watch the footage he got yesterday with Breeze.

Marcus would of been the last one to leave the living room space as he watched the news on what happened, trying to get a good idea what they were saying. He would fall asleep where he sat for a quick bit and then wake up when an explosion from a trideo sounded. He would get up and turn the tv off, going to his designated space for sleeping. He wouldn't get too much rest as he was waiting for Breeze to wake him during the night and having what sounded like scratching outside the building would make him lose sleep. When he got up in the morning and saw Breeze messed up he would chuckle slightly and get himself some soycaf. While drinking it, he would get the bottles from last night and put them where they should be in this house, away from someone stepping on them and getting hurt. He would grab a bowl of some grub and eat it while he waited for the rest of the crew to get back. Doing so, he goes over some notes from yesterday and what went wrong. He would mill about in his brain the group and who was needed and who could be let go off in a pinch.

It doesn't go well with his thinking. He would look up Loki and his trademark to see where else this man has been, something he should of done a while back.

@Loki,

The morning walk is invigorating.  As the sun begins to rise, latent heat begins to rise up from the streets and concrete, but there's enough overgrown lawns, and some thunderheads forming in the sky to keep his travels relatively cool and with plenty of sights to see.  It's apparent that this area was once the outskirts of suburbia for College Station, and that it has now fallen into disrepair, forgotten by the city fathers and the corps alike.  A few ork children on bicycles eye him suspiciously as a distance, evidently not familiar with non-orks in these neighborhoods, but they give him a wide berth and continue with their rides.  There are a few packs of feral dogs that also keep to a distance, but there are less of them than Loki would expect for this kind of area, and upon turning a corner he discovers why: two dog corpses lay split down the middle near a sewage grate.  If Loki had to guess, he would bet that something was down in that grate, and grabbed one as it went past, then after it got its fill, it waited for another to come sniffing around the body of the first.  Lovely.  At least the safehouse seems secure.

"Oh, for sure. There is no guarantee that we’ll be able to score admin access and at least getting our foot in the door will definitely be helpful. We’ll mention this to the guys later if we all sit down and discuss where to go next."

"Yeah, I seriously doubt he was wearing his own face at the time. I mean, he got right up to that security guard before going to that Felicity girl and there are LOADS of security cameras around."
Breeze then gets settled to see whether Hopie’s footage is bankable or if he needs to have a look at the security host later.

When Loki walks in, Hopeless turns his head to face him, smiles, and says "Hey. We're just... ummm, we're watching the, looking at the... y'know, the footage. From yesterday? The stuff I got. Not the news. Want me to, like... i can start it over for you... if you want?"

Hopeless restarts the trid, the group huddled close around.  It's weird to see the whole mess go down again, and from the original angle too.  Hopeless feels a slight catch in his breath when the first RFer pulls the machine pistol, and another one when the drone barrels toward him, gun briefly blazing before a flash of ice splits the thing in two.

The footage is equally good on the quad itself.  The gas muddles some of the view of the protesters and MS students, but one thing is crystal clear: three students running, one completely subsumed in gas, and two unarmed females are dropped from automatic fire as they apparently run for their lives.  School sec. is going to have a hard time explaining that one.

Loki grins while watching the footage. "Hehehe... Oh, hey, can you use my footage too?" The elf sends a mark invite for his burner link to Breeze without hesitating, and brings up the footage he captured on the ground through the trode net and the commlink. "Shame I don't have one of those simrig units, but then you'd have been able to feel what I feel, so maybe it's best that I don't after all. Heh. Look at their faces..."

While Loki's view of things is a little weak on the finish -- all running and smoke, and the sound of screaming from behind as the shots ring out, there is a very nice view of the RFers screaming "Geek the Mage!" directly after Mr. Delaine got it in his head somehow to fire into a crowd of unarmed students.  One could also make the claim, they think after re-watching the exchange between the guards and the MS students, that disallowing an orderly and safe evacuation of the magicians could be cause for concern, assuming someone would want to lead that particular charge.

While Hopeless was restarting the vid Breeze explains to Loki that he has a potential exchange in place if the footage is good enough. After that he stays quiet and thoughtful while the vids from both guys are playing. "Well fuck, added together this might just be good enough to get our info."

Breeze shakes his head a little, chuckles and teasingly asks, "Why? Did you sport a stiffer from listening to the sheep bleat?" He immediately raises his hand to indicate that no response is required, "Sorry, not relevant to matters at hand, I hope. I don’t mind telling you guys that if I don’t have to hack into the security host I’ll be ever so pleased, I’d prefer their matrix security to not know we’re even here until a couple of hours after we skip out of town. I’ll contact my broker and see if this passes muster."

After Hopeless expresses his concerns about having the video tracked back Breeze assures him that scrubbing the file is no problem at all, "I’ll mock it up so that it looks like it comes from my burner link." No need to mention that Archive is WAY better than I am and might try to track this back just because I’ve messed with it.

<<To: Archive>>
<<In house resources man, can’t beat that speed. But yeah, as good as that 2k sounds, other things have to take priority.>>

"Guys, I should be getting those schematics soon. My buyer was impressed by your camera work." As soon as he receives the files from Archive Breeze starts pouring over them trying to see if there are any short cuts he can take in accomplishing the job.

Hah! Bit of duct tape over those RFID vents and we shouldn’t have to worry about them.

"Alright, alright, ALRIGHT. Seems like this ‘raku bad boy ain’t all so bad after all. I was real worried about those RFID clouds but it seems like they can be circumvented with something as simple as some strategically placed duct tape."

Breeze looks up at Loki, "Will your illusions fool a machine? I can change the error margins on the biometrics so that we only need a good approximation instead of perfect and I should also be able to find the alarm node to keep the thing from triggering if the biometrics hack won’t be enough. If we get to that point I honestly think our best bet would be using my handy dandy chainsaw key."

Breeze sits back quite satisfied with the morning work, "Now, do you guys want me to go digging and try to find more about those financial irregularities that Drampe seems to be involved with to get him to co-operate or would you rather go with the direct narcoject approach you mentioned yesterday, Loki?"

"Yeah, I can fool the machine, but only if I have access to someone who has access. Drampe should work, and getting him to cooperate would be preferable; let's keep the drug route as a plan B, neh?"

Loki looked around the safehouse real quick. "You do some online digging and I'll see what I can find out about the situation on campus."
