What would I do if I was using a gun cane (Not the knock off) in combat as a melee weapon?

Secondly, If I have a great coat and the clothing that goes under (one of the Mortimer suits)

What stacks? Does concealibility stack?

The +1 to social dice is also somewhat ambiguous with the Mortimer line.  It states in the red rule box that social limit modifiers don't stack but the +1 dice for tests is not technically a limit.

I'd default to the, "only the highest modifier of any visible clothing counts," for all bonuses, so you're only getting +1 die for social tests no matter what.

Same deal, although I would allow a concealable holster to stack with the various armors.  The Lined Coat entry in SR5 refers to an "additional" modifier.

So basically, with the suit+Coat, I really don't get a whole lot do I?

It's suit + coat + skin-level armor (dermal plating/orthoskin) + bone augmentations (lacing or density), so you have options.  Toss in magic, and you can take a beating.

Something that my character will be wearing with all his outfits once R&G is legal is YNT Softweave Form-Fitting Body Armor with Thermal Dampening (5).  No armor bonus, but it's a nice way of getting thermal dampening in on all your kits.

Lets look at the math here though..

Suit + Coat = 13 armor
Coat = 12 armor.

You're limited to str+1 for how much additional armor you can wear before taking penalties. Since the coat is a +4, the most I (at 5 str) could wear is a +2 item. So with Suit + Coat + Helmet = 15. Coat + Mask + Helmet + Arm guards = 17 armor.

So yeah.. its pretty much better to go the coat and not stack it.

That assumes your GM would allow a helmet and a mask to stack--considering a fully sealed security helmet is +3, I suspect many would not.  Also, there are many places you can't just wear a helmet.

It assumes, you're going to max out your carrying capacity of your +armor mods. Weather its arm guards, helmets, face masks or other things.

Cause we could replace the helmet or face mask with Snake Mesh Socks.

I'm not saying you're wrong or anything. Just that.. Well, its fairly deceptive as you get really nothing.

=.=

Though of course by the rules of the book.. i think.. You could wear a great coat on top of a great coat.

Since you're wearing masks and helmets, I assume you aren't overly concerned with social stigma.

The mask and helmet doesn't automatically make me social stimgaed.

Could be the mask fairly easily for example for high social encounters.

I could be wrong but I think the big game Hunter already had a helmet mask included (at least in the picture)

Smashingly. I rented out the entire restaurant for a masquerade for the night.
