What do they look like? Can they be any animal you want? I assume their stats stay the same. But one may be a tough as nails eagle, while another may look like a big, bad, wolf?

I mean, I only summon sexy lady fire elementals after all... could a beast spirit also be a cat grrrl? LOL

Considering the book uses shamanic Air spirits appearing in the shape of winged animals as an example of what's possible (page 301), I'd say they can look pretty much like anything that sorta-fits your tradition and preferences.

I think it'd be awesome to have a beast spirit that looked like a cow-dragon.

I thought I read that spirits take the form that the summoner wishes although that might be just Mentor Spirits.  I don't particularly like that idea though.  I much rather  they be GM creations with their own minds and personalities.   Either way I think Beast spirits can look like anything beastly.

Spirits are supposed to look like what Tradion "tells You" how it should look like.So  a christian Spirit of Air may look like an angel, a Schamanistic one may look like a Bird or a Cloud
a Shinto Spirit of Air may look ....well however a Kami of Air may look like.

So a shamanistic Spirit of Beast should look ...like a Beast
a black magic Spirit of Beast ....could look like a Dire Version of the same animal
