Old bump and not sure if anyone reads this at all but I'm also in Calgary and would love to get into a Shadowrun game, are there any that are currently running and accept new people or is anyone thinking about starting up a new game?

There are two public campaigns being run by CGL Demo Agents in Calgary.  One out of the Sentry Box and the other out of Myth Games.

The next meeting for the campaign at the Sentry Box is June 15th starting at 11:30am in the After Hours Room.  It runs every two months on the third Sunday of the appropriate month unless there is a cancellation.  I am the primary GM for that campaign and the other agent backs me up if enough players show up to split into two tables.

The campaign Myth runs in the opposite months to the Sentry Box campaign on every second Friday starting at 6:30pm.  The next event date will be July 11.  We are usually in the middle area of the store almost or just starting into the back bay area.  The other agent is the primary GM while I back him up if we need to split into multiple tables.

Both games are using 5th edition core rules and only the core book is in play at this time. 

I highly recommend joining Catalystdemos.com and adding the Calgary SR Agent Electro1574 and myself Horsemen so that when we post upcoming events you will be mailed a notification.  I will come up as a Battletech agent but I do both.

Any of you demo guys up in Edmonton? Looked at the website, but couldn't even see the Calgary events you'd mentioned

The events only show if there is an upcoming event and only get mailed direct if you have an agent listed who posts an event after you join.

A new event will get posted shortly for Myth Games in the next day or so.

As far as I know there are currently no active SR agents in Edmonton.  We've debated about coming up in the past to run a demo.

Calgarian here, and somewhat old (mid 30s), but very interested in starting to play Shadowrun. I've always been interested in the game since the SNES and Genesis games, but never knew anyone or been in any location where the actual RPG was played.

As mentioned above we have two regular games going though due to recent events the campaign at Myth Games is changing up some while the game at the Sentry Box is likely going to switch to two dates to allow for two tables.  I will post more details soon once a few more things get figured out.  As also mentioned above if you do not already have an account on www.catalystdemos.com it is highly recommended as that is where we post the events first and foremost.

I am sorry to report Rapier that it does not appear that we have any agents in either place.  I would suggest that you check with any event coordinators at your FLGS to see if there is anyone running SR on a regular basis and then perhaps talk to them about becoming an Agent. 

I will also keep an eye out to see if this changes for you.
