Why choose Bellingham?

Possibly, Bellingham was chosen as the capital for the simple sake of it being the closest thing to tribal "Neutral" ground that had available infrastructure.

SR really doesn't play up the fact that even amongst Tribal Nations, there is tension..... and in reality the salish-shidhe is made up of hundreds of different Bands, each one with their own political motives, rights, causes and issues..... nor the fact that they don't really get along too much,

So it could be that Bellingham was the place that all these bands and nations could agree was the most acceptable compromise...

also, Vancouver really was too close to the tsimsham Nation.... and traditionally Salish, Tsimshan and Haida did not get along very well, warring and trading against each other during various parts of their history...
Where am I going? And why am I in a hand basket ???
