General Discussion / Re: 6e Underwater Combat
« Last post by Reaver on <07-24-23/2207:16> »
Away from books so I can't check, but I do believe this was covered in a 4e or 5e book...
It wasn't one of the 'usual' ones (gun, cyber, or player companion). And I am also sure it wasn't 'War!'.

I'll check and get back to you, if someone else doesn't first.

Errata / Re: [SR6] Body Shop errata

There is no Natural Weapons specialization. I suppose you could make one as Specializations are open ended.

In the Companion when a SURGE quality grants the user a natural weapon, they sometimes say it uses Close Combat (Unarmed specialization), and sometimes uses an Exotic Weapons specialization.

General Discussion / 6e Underwater Combat
« Last post by cuidaBeja on <07-23-23/0033:31> »
My co-gm and I are planning on a submersible mission, but it seems like while there are submarines, submersibles, and plenty of aquatic cyberware (big Body Shop fan) it seems that 6e doesn't have underwater combat rules yet? At least I can't remember seeing them and I believe I've at least skimmed all the 6e books.

Anyone have guidance from past editions? We have cash to invest in some one-off toys, it's just a matter of some basic framework and stats.

[pg 70] Bioware Weapons - Implanted bioware weapons are stated to "use the Unarmed Combat skill with a Natural Weapons specialization."

There is no Unarmed Combat skill. There *is* an Unarmed specialization.

There is no Natural Weapons specialization. I suppose you could make one as Specializations are open ended.

[pg 57] Cosmetic Bioware Table - the Hair Growth and Skin Pigmentation bioware each have two types, each inset on the table to denote they fall under the main entries. However, the main entries ALSO have Essence, Avail, and Cost ratings for some reason.

Rules and such / Re: Body Shop: Modular Cyberlimbs

The Modular Mount has an Essence Cost of 0.4, but is this in addition to the associated cyberlimb Essence Cost, or instead of?
To me this is clearly meant to be in addition to cyberlimb essence cost.

Quote
Does an attached modular cyberlimb ALSO need the Modular Connector part?
Clearly, yes.  Connectors go in cyberlimbs, and they connect to mounts.  Detachable parts get the male end (connector) and they plug into a female end (mount).

I get the distinct feeling that the modular section was not meant for multi-part limbs.
Also agreed, if it was meant for multi-part limbs, there would have been some explanation of how that would work.  But there isn't.

Edge Zone / DR.Apocalypse the combat mage

So the good Dr. Is a combat mage without any sorcery skills.
His card reads,  add +2 to damage Dr. Apocalypse inflicts with spells, but all he has for skills is gunnery, I assume that was meant to be sorcery?
