I am seeking players for a Play by Post campaign I've codenamed "Chess".

Title: A Game of Chess
Some Notes: Characters will be individually approved by me (GM) because I pre-wrote this and don't like the idea of some overpowered character eating sections of it for lunch. Also, hardcore hackers might want to pass simply because I suck at GM'ing for hackers, sorry about your luck.
Brief Description: A Game of Chess is a multi-run adventure taking place almost Exclusively in Seattle and focusing mainly on the struggles of organized crime families. The opening adventure "Pawns" starts almost immediately with low level violence and a good amount of leg work. This is a very "Choose your own Path" game.
Requirements: At least 1 post a day

Yeah, I'll accept attitude. I always forget it because it's on my desktop rathe than in my file folder or on my book shelf.

So far I have received one character sheet and am currently reviewing it. So there are still plenty of spots open but it is a first come first serve game. I'll check potential runners in the order they are pm'ed to me.

Physical Description: Two and a half meters tall, most of his original Fomori body is chrome now, whats left is green ad covered in fur, his head is topped by shaggy black hair, blue eyes and his genes play down his troll features.
Personality/background Test Subject 0002 is corporate property, whose he doesn't know. The project was to vat grow a soldier with tailored genes, augment them and then train them subliminally, to try to show their new method was more cost effective than skillwires. While being tranported back to Hong Kong, the shipment containing 0002 was hit by runners. Either the job went awry or 0002 wasn't the target, he found himself awake, naked and unarmed in the warehouse district. He was found by the security head of the nightclub Equilibrium, who was understaffed. Seizing the opportunity for a cheap, huge, chromed bouncer he offered 0002 a job. All his gear comes from his job, he has no liscence for the gun so it gets left at the club. His streetname comes from a clubber on Tempo who said he looked like a "Sink Hole". 0002 continues to hope his "Father", the project leader, will come take him home. 0002 isn't entirely awre of his own skills untill placed in suitable situation.

Riggers are totally fine. And to correct you, I don't have a problem with hackers. I am just not super strong on their rules so if you're expecting some awesome matrix combat or anything beyond hacking on the fly.... you're out of luck. I know just enough to throw an alarm to full blast on a building when you fail at hacking, and very very little more.

With three spots filled I'll definitely be looking towards more interesting characters rather than their specs and skills. Story drives games, and with a pretty much full team in my opinion (For this leg of the campaign) only good stories are going to get into the game.

I have been away from SR for a long time (1st ed.) and have never PbP but I recently got the itch to play again and I am looking for an outlet.

== Background ==
Smith grew up as the only son of a career Tir military Senior NCO (Command Sgt. Major). Smith's latent magical abilities were discovered during his teeage years and he was groomed to become a member of the Tir military from relatively young age by his father and his magical trainers. He became a Non-commissioned Officer, eventually becoming a team leader (Staff Sgt.), even though was offered a position as a comimssioned officer because of his magical abilities.  He chose the NCO path out of respect for his father. Smith was an armorer and weapons specialist for the Tir border patrol. During this time he became increasingly disillusioned with the Tir military politics and cronyism. This disillusionment culminated in his assault on his, politically well connected, platoon leader after the platoon leader led the platoon into an obvious and avoidable ambush on the Tir border. He was allowed to leave service under honorable conditions because of his exemplary service record up to that time and his father called in favors with friends in the military. The platoon leaders family also didn't want a record their child's incompetence and embarrassment to become part of the official record, but the platoon leader made it clear he was not done with Smith. Smith was "asked" as a condition of his "clean" exit from service to leave Tir and so the friends and family of his (former) platoon leader wouldn't be able to retaliate against him outside of official channels for the assault. Smith left Tir under a false SIN to avoid notice and recently traveled to Seattle to work as a mercenary/shadow runner until the family of his former platoon leader are no longer in a position to retaliate against him or his family.

Smith is a well adjusted individual, a product of an essentially middle class upbringing. He values quiet competence, professionalism and loyalty to the team and mission.
