Hello, My brother and I are looking for a GM to run a Shadowrun Campaign in Skype. We're looking for a once a week session of at least 3 hours, maybe more. It's up to the GM on how many players but 4-5 total is what I'm thinking.
I'm running a Ork Shaman focusing on Spirits and he's also the Face. My brother is running an Ork or Elf Technomancer OR a Troll Adept. We are planning on 400 BP build but if the GM wants higher level starting game we can do more.
-
I just signed up, I am the aforementioned brother looking to play the technomancer or an adept.
-
Well let me know if you find a GM, I am looking to play too :)
-
I would love to play an infiltration spec. Elf adept most like.
-
If it weren't Skype, I'd be tempted to give a shot at playing, but I don't have and don't want a Skype account

Hey, I'm all for some infrno.net ;)
-
I'm on Infrno but they have 2 games for Shadowrun and both are full. We would still need a GM. If your not afraid of some hand cramps we can play on IRC, just need to set up a room and there is a free IRC browser at Mibbit.com.

One of which is defunct because the GM went MIA ;)

Really looking to get a Shadowrun game going. Infrno, Skype, Ventrilo (though I don't have a server, just client). Anything to get a game going that's faster than PbP. I'll even settle for IRC. I have 2 players ready, plus people who already posted here, and we just need a GM

Count me in if you still have space.
Where are all the GM's it seems like there's three games worth of players with no GM for every game with one?

Well for me at the very least, I am the only one at home who knows the system well enough to run it. But after a while all you want to do is play. It is why I haven't volunteered to run anything on this forum.
-
I definitely hear you on that, same thing happened to me with DnD, then Call of Cthulu, then Starwars. I'm sure I'll end up GMing SR some day but I'd like to get some experience playing it first. Some folks just don't seem interested in reading the books, which you kind of have to do if you want to GM.
Any way, no pressure but if you ever feel like GMing let me know :)

I have run games on Skype in the past and am not against doing so again. My schedule has me open on thursday evenings. If interested, drop me a PM.
-
Contacted.
Hacker for me!
-
Sweet! I know at least one person was not so in to Skype so if it's Infrno or something that might be more inclusive, GM get's final say of course.
Elven Weapons Specialist, and I'd like more info on the game before I finalize it, also enjoy colaberating on Char gen if other folks are into that.

It was me that had an issue with just skype, but my infrno superheros group uses it and it works great. I do suggest though we use some sort of game table.
-
i would love to join this game if i could
-
So I see a lot of interest and a lot of possibilities. I run the games with Skype and Invisible Castle dice roller...... I can GM or I can play.
I'd love to collaborate character generation.
-
Well for me I am thinking an elf hacker. Former corporate citizen that got lost in the shuffle during crash 2.0.
So you wouldn't mind GMing you say?
-
I can. Though I'd like to share the responsibility. Maybe switch off with someone else?
I'll warn everyone ahead of time about my weaknesses. I suck at hacking, I suck at 'ware, but I am a wiz at magic and story crafting. I love interesting plot turns, cameos, all kinds of stuff.
If I was a player I would focus almost exclusively on my character "Specks" who is a magical researcher. Hermetic Magician focusing on summoning, and he has that creepy obsession with Serrin Shamandar.
-
Hah its all good, I'm new at SR4 really. :)
-
Cool, as soon as I get to play a bit I would be able to GM here and there, maybe not half the time but some one (who was that?) said they would GM half time so if they are still interested we can work something out, I have loads of GM experience with other systems I just haven't played SR4 enough to be comfortable GMing.
Also, from what I've seen I would prefer Infrno to Skype and Invisible Castle, just my two cents, of course primary GM has final say, but what are people's thoughts on this?
And we are still talking Thursday evenings right?
Looking forward to this, Raven

I could sometimes switch off GM duty too as long as there is an understanding. 1) I'm likely to make simple missions, and 2) That's the mission. Its like my mom telling us we had our choice of what's for dinner, "What I made, or nothing." If you don't want to accept the job, well see you next session!

Well anything I ran, which would probably be on thursdays, would be on a bi-weekly basis. I have a terribly busy on the go schedule and sitting at my computer for a solid three hours strictly for Shadowrun is a ton of time out of it. As such, people would just have to get used to that kind of staggered schedule. Sorry y'all, best I can do.
-
Maybe you could GM every other week and some one else or several people could GM on the off weeks, probably work best to have two sets of characters as well but there are certainly other options.
And based on our other options I don't think any ones going to put up a big fuss.

I don't see anyone else showing interest...... is there a problem with skype or are people just waiting for me to take some initiative?
-
Well I sent you a PM with contact info and said I was interested on the forums. So....I don't know, where do we go from here?
-
I'm definitely still interested. I'm probably not available this coming Thursday (sorry), but after that things should be fine. I think most folks are waiting to see some one (usually the GM) make the final call and set something up. Is there anything particular you need in place before a game happens?
Also, if your set on Skype that's okay but just from my point of view I've checked out Infrno and that seems much preferable to me, dice rolling built in and a very user friendly table which is nice since I'm not good with computers and use lot's of maps when I GM, is there any reason people don't want to use that?
Lastly, as I very much want to play some SR, feel free to let me know if there is anything I can do to help make this happen.

I had a bout of player attrition, and am looking for another player or two for my Skype game. I've been running every other Tuesday, with our next game being next week. If you're interested in joining, send me a PM and I can fill you in,
