So After painting it with Chameleon coating what do you think of adding "special machingery" Ridf tag dispenser to drop stealth tags on to targets you want to track or if you need a wireless line in to a building just drop one every 40 meters or so and you could be hacking away at secure servers.
It should have 4 slots to work with so 1 for the coating 2 for Special Machinery ( storage of tags and means to dispence) That leaves one slot for what? Mayby Signature Masking?
it turns out that Tags have a 40 meter range :)

Ooo, that's a nasty idea. I like it, I like it a lot.
And yeah, pump signature masking into that sucker.
-
That sounds glorious. I'm liking it.

Chamelenon Coating 1 slot 1,000
Special Machinry 1 slot 500 plus tags
Signature Masking 2 4,000
Handaling +1 Acceleration 3/15 Speed 15 Piolt 3 Body 1 Armor 0 Sensor 2 Cost 2,000 total 7,500
EDIT Changed to reflect sugested mods

I would suggest you may not need THAT much Signature Masking.
With the Chameleon Coating and the drone's tiny size, there are going to be enough perception penalties that most folks won't notice it anyway.
Also, 2 slots for a RFID dispenser seems a bit much. There are far more complicated and bulky mods that only cost one slot.

It is not people it is the Dragonfly drones that hunt little bugs like mine.
So signature masking of two would that get the fly off the menue?
-
How many people actually have GMs that let them overmodify so extensively? I felt blessed when we found a single gun that had one level worth of overmodification. Is the group I was playing with stingy on that? Is it common to let people add so many extra slots to a drone, vehicle or weapon? If so why would anyone ever get the rare vehicle with extra slots?

Removed as to snarcky and not worth it

It is nice that the drone has some Signature reduction mentioned in the description, well it is not represented in ststs. too bad. Otherwise, even without it MCT is microdrone so it gives -6 for signature tests.

Chameleon coating. bodx1,000 = 2k
ECM. Rx1,000 = 1-10k
Improved Sensor array. 1,000
Those are the three best for a flyspy. The coating will give a bigger negative to being noticed so it really isn't needed. The ECM and Sensor array will help it get information and not have it being tracked back. The flyspy's cost 2k, so if you add in the sensors you are paying 3k per and can send out more to get the job done. A dozen eyes that may be seen are worth more than 5 that are really REALLY hard to see.

The MCT FlY-Spy is a Minidrone. That gives it a Body of 1 and concealment of -2. Also means that Chameleon coating is only 1k.
I was thinking about outfitting mine with a Retrans to use as an in between for hacking devices with signal rating of 0-2, like a smartgun system or cyberlimbs.

Ooh. Never considered getting micro/mini-drones to tag people with RFIDs. That's something I'm going to have to keep in mind for my hackers/riggers.
-
Actually just discovered (in Running Wild) what may well be the best version of this out there -- the Smart-Connect Swarm bio-drone. Its signal rating is equal to the group rating plus six, and if the two devices are each in range of the biodrone, they're considered in range of each other. 12,500¥ per level of rating ... automatic Signal of 7. Co-op with your rigger on that one...
-
Oh my god. Keep a Rating 1 in your pocket. Hack anything within 40 kilometers that has wireless.

Yeah. Wicked, isn't it?
-
Yeah. Wicked, isn't it?
Deliciously wicked. My friend's rigger is going to drool when he sees this.
-
I was trying to figure out what sensors would be good on the fly-spy, especially for using clearsight.
-
Ultrasound.

You forgot to mention that they only have the lifespan of 2 months, so if you're always keeping a rating 1 sensor swarm you're paying 6,250 nuyen each month.

The fact that the flying eye from Spy Games is not only cheaper, but a micro drone instead of a minidrone makes it so much better than the flyspy that the flyspy might as well have an obsolescent tag on it.
