Title: Back to the Sprawl
Post by: eindatadog on <08-10-11/1934:43>
Hey folks I have some questions....

I picked up and ran a few games of 4th ed. when it first released maybe 4 years ago, can't remember exactly, i've noticed from browsing on ebay a new 20th anniversary ed. is this a 4.5 version or just rehashed 4th?

If it is new will it be a big change for me as 3rd ed. to 4th was?

I also would like to know what adventure books are good to purchase along side it, my gaming group is brand new and has no experience of shadow run and due to time constraints  on my part I don't have the time to flesh out runs any more, so if someone could tell me which books are good for milk runs for a new group i would appreciate it.

Oh and it's brilliant to see after all these years the old shadownet is still going strong, glad I found this. Thanks.

The Shadowrun 20th Anniversary Edist is slightly an update, more errata than anything else.

And this is the newest version? Can you tell me if the book has any new artwork and fluff over the previous editions?

Thanks

It's the newer. Also better organization, index of the book AND listings in the index for Arsenal, Augmentation, Runner's Companion, Street Magic and Unwired. And errata, as I said before. It's a good book. If you haven't picked up the 4E book yet, pick this up instead.

Tons better artwork and organization over plain 4e. I also highly recommend the pdf version for searching.

Thanks for the info FastJack, nice to see you didn't get geeked by Deus  ;D

Cheers wayfinder, searching? Is that an Adventure.

If anyone could point me in the right direction for an adventure book to it would be appreciated, like I said it's a brand new group to shadowrunning so it needs to be an introduction milk run, cheers.

On the official site: www.shadowrun4.com there's a missions section. You can get the second season missions which are set in Denver free. On the Run is also friendly to new players.

I meant it is easier to search through the PDF version than it is to flip through the hard copy.

And ditto to what Angelone said about adventures. There is also a free adventure on the site named Food Fight, a must for first time players to learn the rules.

It's version 4.1, with much much better layout, colour art and indices.
