Title: Spirit Warrior aka Spiritual Adept
Post by: adimar on <08-02-11/1655:34>
Hi All.
I was toying with a character idea. An Amerindian adept who could command spirits, he would take a spirit guide (wolf in his case)
and be part adept part conjurer. I couldn't find any way of creating such a character.
The closest equivalent is the Mystic adept, who splits his magic between adept powers and magic spells.
Would it be reasonable to stat the conjuration adept the same way? (i.e 10 cp)

Adi

Some adepts choose to learn less than their maximum number of adept
powers, preserving some of their Power Points for spellcasting or conjuring

Mystic Adepts can conjure, so yes a mystic adept is what you want

This indeed.

It's actually quite an easy build, but most Mystic Adept PC's I've seen focus on Adept powers with a minor in Spellcasting, and some completely Ignore conjuring (which is just a waste!)

A Mystic Adept Conjurer can be really awesome :)

The main limiter on your ability to conjure is Drain dice rather than Summoning dice, so even with only 1 magic allocated to casting, you can be a pretty decent summoner if you have a solid drain stat.

That said, it's never a good idea to ignore either spellcasting or summoning on a magician or mystic adept.
