Title: Catalyst Demo Team resumes
Post by: Onion Man on <07-08-11/1614:54>
So I saw that there's an essay/short answer section to the Demo team application...

Getting all my ducks in a row before filling one out (and introducing 2 more players to Shadowrun this weekend), but I am curious 'how much is expected from a volunteer resume?'

I've been doing the RP thing for ~20 years now, but Shadowrun hasn't exactly been a constant part of it (not enough players in my exurban hometown, all D&D and RIFTS out here).

I guess this is mostly a curiosity.  I'm not exactly worried about being turned down, but I do want to know what's what before I start pitching missions at a select group from my D&D meetup and shopping around for a FLGS for a location to host local "mini-cons" (ideally with an in-store, same day discount if I can get the same deal as we did for the D&D meetup).

Also interested in this. I haven't been playing Shadowrun for long (just over a year), but I am GMing it fairly intensively at this point (gearing up to start 2 weekly games within a couple of weeks, with at least 11 complete newbies between the two - character creation in those circumstances becomes a pretty serious timesink). I'd love to be on the demo team by the time Origins rolls around next year.

After the online part you'll have to send in a form that includes either a small sample scenario or a note from your FLGS that will your home base. I don't really remember the online portion that much, but if its the simple why do you want to be a CDT member then that's most likely all the want.
