Since all the descriptions I've seen of KE uniforms being black, and Lone Star is in the world too - does that make KE the Dark Helmets of the SR world? ::) :P

Joking aside . . .
I've been going over the original Lone Star sourcebook, and putting it together with everything I've ever read about LS. Given founder Clayton Wilson's recorded racist and chauvinist attitudes, it seems strange that there hasn't been any equating of LS with Humanis, like the Star being a Humanis stronghold or suchlike.
Is this because the links have always been assumed in the game world? Is the general reaction something like "So what" or "Yeah, and?" or something else? Granted, after Wilson got the boot (in 2036 . . . well before the Night of Rage) there was an ongoing effort to get the racist et al attitudes out of LS because it was hurting the profitability.
Now that Clayton Wilson is in with Ares - heading up Knight Errant, no less - is it expected that KE is going to be more blatant with anti-meta attitudes & actions?

Less likely. Ares hasn't made major inroads for metahuman equality, but they're not exactly racist against them either. And, given the militaristic bent that the corporate culture has, and the para-military (Or all-out military!) styling that Knight Errant has would fight against racism pretty strongly. All the Metatypes are just too good as soldiers in various ways to risk alienating them.

We had a longer discussion a while ago in a german forum and came to the conclusion, that trolls are more a liability than a bonus in a modern army. But a big megacorp can't simply afford to alienate a high percentage of it's customers for nothing.

Japana-Corps do all the time. :P
Metahumans are a sizable minority now, however, and a major purchasing power, along with major in-roads made with equality and so on. Lots of politics involved. And Corps do love to get politicos in their pockets, even if they're extraterritorial.
