Title: Commanding Animals Through Augmented Reality
Post by: Zen Shooter on <05-25-11/1211:48>
I was thinking - if you fitted an animal with a sound or image link, couldn't you train it with the rules in RW to accept commands through them? If the dog has a sound link and hears a spoken command through it that it was trained to obey, wouldn't it obey just as if its master was standing there speaking? And couldn't you train the animal to respond to AROs? A blinking green ARO superimposed on a spot on the ground might mean, go to that spot and sit.

Yes you can.  The rules for training animals are in Running Wild and it's explained there how you should do it.  In short, it will take a lot of time, but it is possible to have a dog do things while the handler is not physically present.

More like the Dragon teaches you to be his/her pet.
