Title: Urban Brawl, German style
Post by: wylie on <05-24-11/2117:58>
There are several pics on deviant art for German Shadowrun release "Blut und Spiele" (Blood and Games), an adventure anthology centered around Urban Brawl

Any chance we can get an American version?

I'm in no place to make the call about a translation or something similar, but I can tell ya (since it's already being advertised for GenCon) that I wrote an Urban Brawl adventure -- "Super Brawl Sunday" -- for the Missions CMP stuff this season.

You forgot some pix :)

The last two (as well as the two linked in the entry post) are pix of actual Urban Brawl player cards (like baseball cards) that are contained in the book, with short decriptions, SR stats and all.

cool artwork
I only linked a few to wet people's taste buds so they would go looking for more
It wild seeing that you have artwork on both sides of the ocean, supporting both english and german SR games.

I saw that one of the missions has to do with the Super -Brawl. Cool!! hopefully there will be some rules in there, espiecally if the runners end up on a team or must deal with a team

maybe one year CGLs will host an Urban Brawl at conventions.....

Damnit, now I want a Black Barons Button.  (I get one button a year for my denim jacket, usually RPG related.).

Should be easy to get: Just take the pic, go to someone that does buttons (i.e. a copyshop) and voilà.

a german squinky....
that's a scary thought.

also, that art is nice, and just anything in general to give us more to work
with when it comes to Urban Brawl would be nice..

Yeah...  I failed French.  In the largest city with the largest per capita francophone population in Canada outside of Quebec.

Let me quote the prophet, one of the great thinkers and philosophs of our time: "IT'S WRONG TO BE FRENCH!" *snickers*

Well, in Canada, it all depends on the French you're talking about.  I've lost count of the numbers of different types of French you come across.

Back to German Urban Brawl, however...  Is that it for the team logos, or will we see more?

I think there's one for each mayor team, and maybe one each for some of the minor ones . .

There are more team logos in that book. The ones in color will be available as stickers, the black-and-white ones are "only" shown.

All in all, you'll see the following logos in the book:

SK Centurios Essen
Berlin Cybears
Hamburg Rams
Frankfurt Fireraisers
Asphaltcowboys München
Toxyc Spyryts Duisburg

AGC Labrats
Anarchie Wien
Krakow Bojownicy
Black Barons Mainz
Blue Helmets Geneve
Chromlegion Bremen
Cyberzombies Düsseldorf
Frankfurt Massaker
Hellhounds Hannover
Kreuzberg Assassins
Naniten Nürnberg
Ruhrmetall Leviathane
Schwarzwald Titanen
Warsaw Warmachines
Zürich Account Zero

The Zurich Account Zero logo will appear or already has appeared in a CGL release (I know this because I had to copy and send it to CGL :) ).

Oh, they're stickers and not patches. That's a bit of a let-down. Oh, well. I think I could get a patch made if I really wanted.

But then again, a North American one would be nice too.

No, no, there ARE patches, too. Only you have to pre-order them along with the book. Once the book releases the patches will no longer be available (just the stickers, and if I'm not mistaken a bunch of stickers will be included with the book).

Oh, okay. I thought that it had said that (about only getting patches with the pre-order) so I was going to be a bit sad. Not that I am really in a position to pre-order it anyway on account of me not really understanding German, or in Germany.

The Japanese are even Irish on St. Patrick's Day.  Of course, with some having a name like Ohara...  :P
