This came up in our gaming group. We're debating the proper pronunciation of orichalcum.
How do you pronounce it?

Incorrectly. :P

ore-ick-allum

Well I'd go with Greekish pronunciation of orichalcum as "or eh khal kum" or Anglicize it to "or eh kal sum," and I tend to stress (primary) the khal/kal, and secondary stress on the "or"
Wolfboy's version is interesting, though I think it's missing that last "c" which could go either "k" or "s" sound, so, "or ek alkum" or "or ek alsum." I like "or ek alkum" as alkum sounds a bit like alchemy.
But after searching a bit, yeah, the first version is correct, awr-i-kal-kuhm via http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/orichalcum (http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/orichalcum)
Also, origins of the word here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orichalcum (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orichalcum)
I've been reading "The Life of Apollonius of Tyara" by Philostratus (written ~200 AD) and it mentions orichalcum (as well as how the Indians [old world] hunt the dragons in the border mountains [Pakistan/Afghanistan]) which was a shock as I had always thought it was a Shadowrun specific material...hehe.

Thanks, all. I appreciate it.
That's one hard word to enunciate.
