Title: [6e] Sixth World core rulebook now on DriveThruRPG/Catalyst Store for $20

I think that people with a code from gencon can use that code during check-out on the Catalyst site (but not DTRPG) to get their complimentary PDF.

(If anyone puts their $20 down, I'd like to hear if/how the errata has been included. (Left out, integrated with the core text, or added as an appendix? And if included -- is it a later version than the one that was circulated last month?))

I had a quick glance through, and from what i can tell so far, it appears the August Errata have been integrated into the document. Whether or not there are additional errata compared to the August Errata document, i have not been able to tell from my quick glance through.

I wasn't at the Con, so I just get my PDFs thru Drivethru, always easy to use.

Do NOT post codes to receive "free" material from the Catalyst Game Store. If you have such a code from a legal purchase, that code is yours and yours alone. Sharing such a code is promoting pirating the material without a purchase, and moderation actions will be taken against those that share the code.

In the cases of piracy, the normal ToS rules are suspended and you will receive ONE warning on the first offense. Future offenses will result in a ban (in order per the Terms of Service)

At work and on a phone so I’m not really going to go through it all. but one I think change is metahuman priority table c is 9 points. I understand it was 10 and I don’t think that was in the hot fix errata. So maybe other errata hit as well

Thanks SK. That's interesting. I'd like to think, given the hints we've had here that there are extensive errata beyond the hotfix document, that changes have been incorporated into the PDF. That would explain the delay in releasing it (which is otherwise quite puzzling to me.)

Quick glance stuff. Fling um who thought this spell needed an opposed test just to fling it?  Now it’s pretty much worthless.

Levitate I don’t think it needed any weight limit reductions. Even if it did down to 50kg per hit seems very excessive, especially given how much people can now lift with just raw strength. That puts normal human strength lifting at a 21 die pool for magic a 60 die pool for augmented human strength. Yeah I don’t think the heavy lifting spell needs to be that much weaker than strength.

No touch range combat spells. Animate I don’t think needed limiting into material types. It was pretty weak as is. Nonnsustained manipulation spells I’m not sure about. Sustaining spells seems very shadowrun. No magic fingers. I had a character built around that spell, guess I can’t play them again.

A question on this, can the code I received at GenCon be used on DTRPG to obtain this PDF?  Or do I need to wait until it is on the Catalyst store?

I posted on the Catalyst Facebook page on Saturday because I didn’t get my pdf code at Gen Con. They sent me a copy of the pdf. I went through it and it had most of the errata but was missing a couple pieces yet. I let them know so they could get it all in before today. Hopefully they got it all.

Here’s what wasn’t in as of Saturday if anyone can confirm it’s there now:

p. 56, Trolls (Homo Sapiens  Ingentis), Racial Qualities Change Built Tough (1) to Built Tough (2).

p. 147-148, Types of Spirits For spirits of beasts, add Astral Initiative of (F x 2) + 3D6

p. 191, Stiches Add the words “on a sprite” to the end of the second sentence.

p. 200, Using the Vehicle as a Weapon, sentence 4 Change “Vehicles” to “Vehicles (and drones)”

p. 258, Parashield Dart Series Add a note that both the rifle and pistol only fire darts.

p. 260, Gyromount (cont.) Clarification: The Attack Rating increase adds +3 to the Attack Rating for Full Auto, stacking with other bonuses and penalties.

p. 268, Accessories Sim modules have an Avail of — and a cost of +100¥ Sim modules for hot sim have an Avail of 2(I) and a cost of +250¥

It's my understanding that the code you got at GenCon only works at the CGL store.

Correct. It only works on the Catalyst Store (https://store.catalystgamelabs.com/collections/shadowrun/products/shadowrun-sixth-world-core-rulebook) portal.

On a different thread, it was mentioned it was now on the Catalyst store, and I then realized that there was a "PDF" only option there, not just the full book.  When I selected that option, the code worked just fine!

Follow up question: if an updated version of the PDF becomes available (perhaps incorporating more errata corrections), will I be able to download that later?

Ehhh... it's a Love/Hate/Burn their assets to the ground sort of relationship. :P

I *think* so, but there's no official word. I know that DriveThruRPG will allow you to get updated copies of the ones you purchase, but it's been a while since I purchased through the CGL Store.

The new store they have in place does allow you to go in and download additional copies/updates of the files.
