Title: spell force limits question
Post by: KolJ on <11-17-10/1234:37>
This is possibly something I just missed, but does initiation raise spell force limits? If your magic goes above 6, does the maximum force of a spell go up with it, or are all spells limited to force 6 always?

The force of your spell is limited to your magic or magic*2 if your overcasting, so if you raise you magic after initiating then those limits go up.
Just initiating doesn't allow you to cast higher force spell as it does not raise you magic attribute only the maximum you can have.

What he said.

So, for example: If you have a Magic of 6, then you can cast up to force 12 spells. If you initiate 1 time (or even 6 times) that doesn't change. However, since you initiated, your Magic max is now higher, so once you raise your Magic by 1 to a 7, then you can cast up to force 14 spells, and at 8 Magic, you can cast up to force 16 spells, etc. Just remember that if you cast a spell with a force higher than your Magic, then the drain does Physical damage rather than stun.
