a comlink with hot-sim module (that cyberdecks have default) bring up avail with +4 (and make it Illegal! - cyberdecks are "only" restricted). Avial 12F commlink w/ hot-sim give you a device rating 4. An Avial 12R cyberdeck also have device rating 4 (but the array let you use a rating 7 firewall if you like, compared to the firewall 4 of the commlink).

cyberdecks have sleaze. this give them the option to not just run silent. they are better suited to stay hidden (to spot a silent running device you defend with Logic + Sleaze, so cyberdecks get a lot better odds of staying hidden). There is also a matrix action called Hide that let you vanish even after  being spotted as long as he does not have a mark on you. This require sleze attribute, so can not be done with a commlink.
