/dev/grrl is known not to use hard copy if there's any way she can help it, thinking that there's something "gross" about it. She actually called the pencil she used when writing the Safehouses article a torture instrument!

Well, considering that she probably writes almost everything digitally, holding a physical pencil and writing what amounts to an essay would be extremely painful after a while, just as doing any other task using muscles in ways you're not used to using in that way for extended periods would.

The irony of me writing that is, after I shattered my right elbow, writing with a pencil is actually torture to me now.   :-\

So you got to play for a bit, and then your elbow shattered. Sounds like the curse gods sending a message to me. ;)

Actually it was a triple message that:

One:  I've gained too much weight in the last eight years.

Two:  I'm out of shape, and have forgotten how to fall properly.

Three:  Concrete is HARD!

/dev/grrl
Real Name: Unknown
First/Last Appearance: 1/1/71 - 4/28/74
Information: Female elf? hacker; b. 2056, Born to NeoNET wageslaves; asks a lot of questions
In Artifacts Unbound she says she was born in '57. Could be faking her real age, of course, but she's tad young for that.

Either birth year would put her as older than I thought she was. I thought /dev/grrl was only like 14 or 15 rather than 17 or 18...

In Corporate Guide, Pistons says that /dev/grrl is 16. So she'd be 17 now.

Who says that she doesn't already have herself a fella?

Probably one of those hip youths with a post-modern name.

She does mention that being a hacker helps her social life immensely.

The discussion she and Icarus had before FastJack posted his nonsequitur in Clutch was referring to her summer plans post-graduation from high school.
