Just so I, as a player, don't confuse things: are our characters supposed to have run together or is Ophelia just trying to break the ice? If the former, I'll change my previous post, but if the latter, I'll leave it unchanged.

Run together?  No, not in the normal shadow run context.  Your bio indicated that you do bodyguard work for escorts to and from johns in dangerous areas.  I had thought it is not impossible that you would have escorted me at some point in the past.

Ophjelia has absolutely heard of you.  She is a big fan.  And I know it is early days yet, but do not let the exterior fool you.  She is all business inside.  Sam Torley is a former "client" of hers and she rarely forgets a face, even if he has reasons to deny it.  She is pretty good at both of her jobs.  As for Sammy's movies, the list did not say if you had won the Oscar or not.

She didn't win, it was only a nomination.

Torley has indeed contracted Snow's services in the past, as an escort not as a hacker.  I will leave the details of the incident for the two of you to settle on by PM.

Clementine has never worked protection for Snow, but she does remember the context under which they 'met', as does Snow.  There was a meeting awhile back, congenial and professional, about some mutual interests of the Yakuza and the Vory (Russian organized crime).  The success of the meeting had been celebrated with a 'dinner party' where a lot of old married men got to meet with a lot of beautiful girls from the stables of the other organization.  Clem was there as security, Snow was there as entertainment.

Feel free to continue the chatter, I will move you on to LA when I am done with my Calculus final tomorrow.

Yes, good luck on the finals.  I am so glad that I had my last one years ago, back then we used charcoal on rocks.  Say, what are Sammy and Clem wearing for the plane ride?  Are either of you interested in fashion small talk IC or is it all business?  I do not want to set a bad tone, but I really want to try this character out and this group seems hot for RP.

Mercy, quick note, try to keep you IC action descriptions in the third person and use quotes when Snow is speaking.  Necro uses a real good system for keeping different kinds of speech straight through color-coding in his post signature, even though I don't use it.

Sorry.  I will try to get that down.  I was using colors but could not figure out how he was putting the color codes in.  Still working on this way of gaming.  I will try to remember third person.  I hope that my learning curve is not too steep for you people to accept.

No worries. Having third person just makes the story "read" better, since then we don't have to mentally translate from "I" to "Snow".

As for the color codes, there should be a drop-down box in the upper right portion of the "Post Reply" area labelled "Change Color". If you highlight text before selecting that, it'll bracket the selection with the appropriate tags, or you can change the color and then type your text in the middle. I've used both, depending on what I felt like at the moment.

You can also type the tags in directly, using [ color=green]...[ /color] (remove the spaces after the square brackets). I've generally only needed to know how to do that for when I'm posting from my phone, but that's painful so I try to avoid it.

Incidentally, you'll sometimes see us using [ooc] or [spoiler] tags to indicate out-of-character notes. The forum used to hide the text in the spoiler tags until you clicked on it, but it hasn't worked that way for months now. Just be aware of those tags, and don't be surprised when we use them.

Sammy is wearing some high-end jeans and t-shirt and an armoured vest.  Comfortable stuff to travel in, but it still looks nice.  And yes, she can talk about fashion, although I'm not all that good with it.  I also have a Zoé ensemble like you do, but I don't wear it when traveling on a plane (having done so IRL quite often, I've learned the value of wearing comfortable clothing when sitting on a plane for 10 hours).

Assensing results- Snow is healthy, no real negativity in her aura, but not quite as bouncy/happy as she is acting, some cyber with a major block of headware.

Seattle to LA is a short hop, would be less than an hour if they weren't required to avoid certain airspace (like Tir Tairngire) but you'll be in the airports longer than you are in the air..

I know it's not that far, but still, Sammy has been on planes before and therefore knows that she has to wear something comfortable, even if it's a short flight (especially since on short flights they often put the seats closer together to be able to put more people in).
