What if one of the players hacks the Rex? That's what I'd do.

That is an option, it depends on what they play, only have two players for this, so one is prob going to be a mage, and the other prob will be a decker, but they've traded roles once already and I just might end up with two sammies, so who knows?

A lot of threats will have hackability backdoors in them, I'm not really too worried about it. I encourage jack moves, makes it fun.

Indeed it does I was playing a game where we infiltrated a facility and my A.I. got in there system and ended up controlling the entire thing...he lives there now.

Is there some kind of make your prey freeze in fear quality/power for the infected?

I think these would be great if the party tries to mob around in armored vehicles, charging and then ripping them open like can openers for the tasty sentient flesh inside.
