Does anyone know the Priority allocations for the Archetypes in the 6th Edition core rulebook?

I want to transcribe them onto proper character record sheets for new players and/or drop in players to use in our club, since using them straight from the book is rather hard. I'd also like to be able to use them as templates for new players that decide to build their own characters.

I can definitely crack open my copy of the book and do some maths to work it all out. But if someone else has already done the homework, why not copy from them?

No, and reverse-engineering them is a major headache.  They were built before certain character generation rules got finalized, and they break the rules in all sorts of annoying ways.
RPG mechanics exist to give structure and consistency to the game world, true, but at the end of the day, you’re fighting dragons with algebra and random number generators.

Hmm... I was afraid of that. As I recall, that's been the case in most of the previous editions too. Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose.

I'll just fake it then and build some characters that are close to the Archetypes, but are actually built according to the rules.

If you do, please share them here :)

I should be able to knock them out in about a week. I'll share them all when I'm done.

Okay, here's my Archetype Remakes.

All of them were remade to obey all the actual rules of character creation* and transferred onto a proper character sheet.

These are not highly optimized characters, I'm sure the karma efficiency experts on here could build them to be leaner and meaner. But the goal of this project is to get something that is as close to the Archetypes as written in the core rule-book so that new and/or drop-in players can just grab and go. I couldn't resist making some changes -- like ditching the Covert Ops Specialist's silly obvious cyberhand that had lousy stats and made no sense for the role -- but I mostly tried to keep things true to the book's Archetypes.

I also found it odd that all of the spellcaster Archetypes in the core rule-book followed the Shamanic Tradition, so I'm tossing in a couple of my favorite Hermetic Archetypes from bygone editions. I may also add a couple more Archetypes, just to add variety.

Archetype....Metatype....Attributes....Magic....Skills....Resources....
Adept D A B C E
Burn-Out Mage D B C E A
Combat Shaman C A B D E
Covert Ops D A E C B
Decker D C E B A
Face (Human) D A E B C
Face (Ork) D A E D C
Rigger D B E C A
Sprawl Ganger C B E A E
Street Mage D B A C E
Street Shaman C B A D E
Street Samurai (Human) D B E C A
Street Samurai (Troll) C B E D A
Technomancer C A B D E
Weapon Specialist (Troll) D B E A C
Weapon Specialist (Dwarf) D B E A C

* Plus our group's House Rules making Athletics and Close Combat into Strength-based Skills and trying to fix the Adept's Magic Rating problems. These are noted on the individual sheets.

Edit 29/10/2019 (2) Brought the old SR1/SR2 era Gang Member into the 2080's.

YEAH!! My character sheets are useful! I'm so proud! I'm going to download and use all of these! I love the fact that you have the burnt out mage.

The "Combat Mage" (p.82) could be a hermetic mage that happens to have more Charisma than Logic :) to be honest this should be the case sometimes. So as hermetic mage he has 8 drain resistance as shaman he has 10 drain resistance.

Your sheets are great!

Although it’d be nice if the various categories, like Weapons and Augmentations, had columns instead of just being big single text boxes. But I don’t know anything about making form fillable PDFs, so I don’t know how hard it would be to implement.

It’s not just the Charisma. The character’s biography blurb, Knowledge Skills, and so forth all just seemed more “Shamanic” to me.

Obviously, this is just my opinion. Feel free to do whatever you want with them.

Its not hard. I've already done it. I'll put one up later this week.

Ajax, are the priority picks you used on those sheets somewhere and I am just missing them?  If not, could you provide them?

D’oh! That was literally the question that I asked that prompted this whole project and I didn’t list them. Sigh.

I’ll see what I can do to fix that.
