Will be doing an ork mechanic/enforcer. Role(s) would be intimidation and driver/mechanic. Also will have knowledge skills in sports and book making. will send character to you this evening.

I'd like to volunteer Felicia "Loca" Vargas, formerly a mere gang hanger-on who decided that sleeping her way to a position of influence wasn't really working and switched to carving people up with sharp instruments instead. (She's not picky, though: Carving people up with blunt instruments is also fun.]

I could put together a human street tough, without any 'special' talents.

Sounds fun.  I'm going to make a Latino Dwarf who is a Weapons Specialist.  Going to call him, "el diablo corto" or "el diablo minúsculo", he will look like the human on page 72 of the Shadowrun 20th corebook.

From a spanish point of view that sounds kinda weird, like a Google Translator translation, you know what i mean?....you'd probably want something more like "El diablito", it gives the same meaning but it's got personality and is what someone who might be a badass might be called.  You could also say "El pequeño diablo", "El diablo enano" ....but I personally think "Diablito" is the best ;)

Could I jump in this one?  I'd like to be a young 16 year old Ork technomancer named Koello.  He started off wanting to be a hacker, but quickly realized that when in a jam, sprites would materilize and help him....his mentor, B.B. quickly directed him to appropriate people to teach him how to hone his Resonance and although he still lives in the Barrens, in cyberspace he hangs out with hackers and technomancers from all over the world.  His persona is sculpted as a robin-hood medieval rogue type character and his sprites are his merry men.
His tough upbringing though definitely instilled ganger thug skills in him to a point as well.  He wants to start out shadowrunning and improve his situation along with the situation of his family.

Thanks, I have no idea exactly how to translate spanish correctly.   That was from a translator.  I saw the "El pequeño diablo" but thought the tiny word was funnier.

@inca1980: Culturally the Chulos are latinos, especially close to their Aztec roots so the Robin Hood, white anglo-saxon angle is well...not appropriate. There is then the issue that people are scared of Technomancers, which can be played off as being a really talented hacker, which leads to the lack of high tech available to your surroundings, not to mention your hood is a z zone with not alot of reliable wifi....an issue for TM's. TM's are not really 'earth based' as they are AR/VR and if in a pack mentality they group together (as TMs). Long way around saying no, but I wanted to give you a reason and not seem to dismiss it out of hand.

@ The rest: I dont seem to be seeing alot of variety....all combat types. A group of all combat types will generally only have 1 option available to them...violence. We can get down with a bit of the Ultra-violence, but you're in a z zone and Doc Wagon wont be making any pick ups in the 'hood. You should also remember that if you make enough noise for the cops (KE) to come down on your hood its in helicopters and APCs (ala road masters, etc).

Not to say you shouldnt be combat capable, but a team comprised of only such will get you assignments that are bloody and more hazardious.

Oh, woops, i didn't read everything then I guess cuz i was thinking that we could be of any gang.  Mine would have been Crimson Crush.  Well then, if it's the Chulos, i'll think of something else, already got ol' Machete tied up in another run :)

I'm not oppose to running a face person. Heavy in social skills for the group if it would be a better fit. The Orc is ready but will do the face and will give all stats tomorrow for which ever the group prefers.

Boer, i meant a street tough. A guy who knows how to survive. So different skillsets are a part of this. Basically, a character who's physically oriented, but still pretty smart and can handle both stealth and basic social interactions, along with some matrix tinkering.

Thanks for the clarification Kot.

As I've fielded a few emails on the subject now, I dont inherently have an issue with a combat heavy group. I just means the gang biz you're given is the heavy handed type.

You players are to be among the 'carnales' trusted brothers (or on the fast track of being if your loyalty rating is below 5). As carnales you arent the upper encelon of leadership, but you have a voice in most matters. You may even be a leader of your own set/crew, but you are brought together to handle things because of your capabilities. Does this help clarify things?

I've switched my mage guy's specialization from Combat to Health. Might fiddle with his spell selection, too. He's kind of going to bomb any social situation he finds himself in (Uncouth quality, to reflect the poor hygeniene and rambling craziness that come with the territory of a crazy street preacher-type), but he should hopefully be able to open some doors for the group with his magic. So if we want to diversify, that's cool. If we'd rather go guns blazing, I'm fine being magical medic.

Wow, this thread is jam packed with interest.

If I was going to throw a hat in, I'd go for a Latina firebug.
Isabella Cordova:  First arrest at 7, for stealing.  Second, the same day when she went back to burn down the store for getting her in trouble.
