Title: Freeform run tools?

Someone asked me if we could freeform a run simply using the resources within the Digital Tools Box. Fine I thought but then I started thinking to myself "Just how in the hell as a new GM do I even start? What resources do i have as a GM to manage such a feat?"

I presume this is going to require lots of paper and notes about each area, building, NPC, attack ect. But is there a simple way of managing it all?

I'm not sure I understand the question.  It sounds like you're asking how to make up a game on the fly, correct?  Or are you just looking for tips on how to do so?
