Date: Wednesday, August 15, 2012
Time: 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM
Where:  Union Station (Probably 2nd floor)
What:  A Meet & Greet for Shadowrun fans before the convention begins.

Downtown Indy Map

So plans for the Meet & greet changed a little bit.  We had hoped to set up an actual event, but that proved problematic for a number of reasons. However, Union Station is open on Wednesday for gatherings and gaming.  So we're going to snag some space, likely on the 2nd floor so we're up and out of the way.  We will grab a handful of tables and folks can come up, hang out, and get to know each other.  We will likely also try to do some games with some prizes donated by CGL.

Anyway, we'll hang out there, then everyone can head to Claddagh after for food and/or drinks.  There's also been some talk of pickup games of Shadowrun and Missions, so anyone who wants to run/play can hang out after and try and get a game going. :)

See ya there!

Very cool. This time, I'm making it a point of getting to it.

It only took me 24 years to make it to an 'official' event. No way I'm missing this. It'll be nice to put faces to names I've only seem scrolling by on PDFs, Forum posts, etc...

If the plan survives contact with reality I should be there by then. I'm willing to run or play pickup tables.

The plan is always the first casualty.

The back-up plans are killed as well, as the original plan was taken out by Artillery, and the rest of the plans were also in the "Lethal  Footprint".

If your plan never survives your not planing with enough flexibility. Also if Bull is willing (and it's permisable) I have an eye to runing a "beta table" of the module I'm working on, to try and get feedback. We might have to keep this to freelancers and their ilk, but maybe not.

Yeah, we need bounty hunters! :)

Just avoid out-of-control A-wings and you're golden.  ;)

Better yet, make reinforcing the forward screens a 'no duh!' default command ...

Hard to do with the overly-obvious shield generators destroyed by starfighters.

There's a reason Imperial Officers hated "Trench Run Syndrome".

Back on topic, my train has had weird things done to the tracks, so I have no idea when I'm actually arriving.

Why would there even BE a screen when you can point a bunch of cameras out the front and splash a big, composite video image up on a wall of a room deep in the interior of the ship?

Quick update. We're now scheduled from 4 to 8. Which is weird, and sucks. Apparently, it's no longer open gaming area. So, umm. Yeah. Sucks. So 4 to 8, then from 8 on at Claddagh.
