Does anyone know if Shadowrun as an intellectual property is being developed for production as a movie, tv series, anime, web show?  Who has the rights to this?  Is there a way to find out?  Not that I am capable of developing it myself, but I can't believe that SOMEONE hasn't shown interest, it would be great as a Syfy live action series I think.  The world is SOOO rich in color.

If I had to make a wild and totally unfounded guess, I'd say everything in the dirction of other media than print was grabbed by Microsoft.

Microsoft only owned the electronic rights to Shadowrun when they bought FASA Interactive. They now license the rights to Smith & Tinker.

Media rights are separate from electronic rights and I don't think they've ever been optioned out (still feeling a burn from the BT cartoon...)

Someone send a novel or two to the Anime companies. Someone'll option it and I wouldn't mind seeing SR in my late night Adult Swim lineup. For some reason I'm having visions of Full Metal Alchemist and Dunlkezahn's presidential campaign.
