Magician battlemage without guns.

Tomorrow ill be joining new group [spoiler]because their last mage player was THAT GUY and literal king of the edge who just fucked up their game for fun/shitty angsty roleplaying(also he wanted to name his character sasuke...)[/spoiler] and i want to fill position of mage.
Team consist of street sam, bioware melee adept, combat decker(more combat than decking) and decker/rigger(more decker than rigger) and Face/combat adept. Gm said they play more tactical combat oriented game :more fights/shadowruns vs gangers/syndicates/powerplayers not connected with megas.
So i decided to create my first battlemage character without any gun/melee skill(for the challenge/fun), i want my character to be guy obsessed of trids where magician are moving down whole armies by magic only(like harlequin).
GM told me to use sum to 11 and i can initiate 1 time(cant take quickening)

Also a lot if In Debt. Owing $37,500 and  $3750 of interest is tough to start with. Don't know what your gear expenses are but they probably don't have to be so high unless you are planning on buying some foci? Maybe you can wait a few runs and buy with your own money instead?

Agreed. This looks like a 'training wheels' edition, that you can use to introduce someone to the setting, and then shift over to something like 5E or 4E. Like how D&D 5E is best used as training wheels for D&D 3.X.

Turned in Toxshaman for ¥1 million/4 once.

i changed that to eco-terrorist groups~

Drugs and shitload of reagents cost money, plus gm said money is not a  problem

No Fake SIN and no fake magic license....I would consider those "important."
Playability > verisimilitude.

This things are like death or taxes, they are must have for any sane character in harsh world of Shadowrun.

I'd take a serious look at dropping 2 points of Edge to increase your resources.

Might also look at a different Mentor since you don't seem to use the cha-skill bonus.
