It is a beast to raise your intuition.

Adept powers only cover physical attributes.  Bioware only helps willpower and logic.  I guess Charisma isn't any easier, but you can always just be an Elf.

Improved attribute spell would do it, and there are 3 drugs: Psyche, Betameth and Trance.  For most characters, it would take all 3 to hit augmented max, you'd be rendered unable to move for the duration, and take 5S unresisted when it ended.

The thing is, I'm not sure why.

I guess it raises your initiative, but so does reaction, which (on par with physical stats) there are a number of options for raising.  It also increases perception rolls, but again there are tons of perception bonuses floating around.

The Limbic Neural Amplifier nanite system can raise your Intuition-linked skill dice pools by up to 3, but that's not a direct attribute boost.

There's not really any rhyme or reason to things like this.

There's also one of the Way-only Adept powers from Way of the Adept, and the Increase Intuition spell.

That's not entirely true. There is a rhyme and reason to what attributes you can augment with 'ware. It's just not a matter of numbers and mechanics.

It's easy to justify augmentations to physical attributes through cyberware and bioware: they're physical. An improvement to the circulatory system to increase endurance. Improvements to the nervous system to improve reaction time. Improvements to the muscles to increase strength and improve coordination. All very reasonable.

It's harder to justify improvements to mental attributes. It's one thing to improve the general processing power of the brain with the Cerebral Booster or the memory with the Mnemonic Enhancer. Those are very straightforward concepts with obvious ties to the brain's biology. But the attributes other than Logic are trickier. How do you make an implant that increases someone's force of personality and social acumen? Note that Charisma also doesn't have an implant to augement it: Tailored Pheremones only adds to the Charisma-linked skills, and it's not so much increasing your own abilities as making others more susceptible to what you say. And Willpower is only increased by things that cause you to ignore pain and emotion, because "determination" is a difficult notion to quantify biologically. So being able to augment a mental attribute is more the exception than the norm.

The reason that Intuition doesn't have an implant that augments it, is because it's difficult to justify an implant that increases a person's common sense, their gut instincts. That's something that only experience can bring. Someone's mental alertness is probably something that can be increased, but that isn't broad enough to cover everything Intuition does and would be more along the lines of an increase to Perception or Surprise Tests. It wouldn't explain the increases to things like Street Knowledge or Artisan.

Imo things like Synaptic boosters/Enhancers, Enhanced hemispheral interconnection - would improve things generaly considered to be part of Intuition.
Then there is Attention coprocesor, that is used only to boost Perception tests, while ability to Focus on something is mostly considered to be part of Willpower...Even today the neural medicine knows that damage of prefrontal cortex causes lot of dysfunctions, like ADHD, LDE and depressions...and all those things can be considered to be connected with Willpower, not Intuition. Empathic Acurracy be the example of topic related to both, Charisma and Intuitin. Brain areas responsible for it are to found and identified. Well, Shadowrun tended to be +60 years Scifi, last time I checked
Improved Neural Highways been part of the game for yoears, if I remember correctly. Also willpower (any maybe Logic) improvement.
Booster cortex networks. Etc Etc. Itis not so difficult to find some real life inspiration. And for Science fiction...well...there are no such limits as there are for actual science...IMO.
So IMO there are such things. But they are flawed, or insufficiently processed during the rules creation.
