The convention was a lot of fun.  Brought new 5th edition characters to the con, and was able to play two games, while my wife (who's barely glanced at the system since the 90s) played once.  Both GMs were entertaining, and we had a good time.

We did have a bit of an issue with one of the modules, though it worked out in the end.  I can't give a lot of details due to spoilers, which is why I won't mention the name of the module or the specifics of the situation, but here's the general info.  A sniper was able to remain undetected (despite my 5 hits on Perception), and shot my wife's Street Samurai, going into overflow and leaving her one box away from death.  Having that kind of encounter isn't a great way to sell someone on the new edition and Shadowrun Missions.  Fortunately, an absolutely massive roll with a medkit from our party's face got her back in the game quickly.
