5'6" Dark Brown/black hair.
Background: Imogen was born in the slums of the Westway, never having met her father and being separated from her mother at a fairly young age. She joined a children's street gang fairly early on and spent her youth around Portobello Road learning the fine art of a pickpocket. Although she was never the fastest or the strongest, being an observant and quick-witted individual, coupled with a charming personality managed to keep her reasonably well fed and educated. By the Year of the Comet, Imogen managed to claw her way out of the slums, and ended up in the West End of London, though primarily keeping to the aboveground Shadowtown and Soho areas.
She spent some time as a streetwalker (as it paid rather better than pickpocketing), and some time as an actress (which paid worse, but was somewhat more respectable, if only barely.) Her real breakthrough came in the early 70s when an …acquaintance... introduced her to the inner workings of the Matrix. She's been involved in the shadow community for almost a decade, but hasn't taken an active role in 'running until a couple years prior to the current day.

'Belle's also a fair cyberneticist and has a little bit of a soft spot for Imogen since she saw her grow up and mature, and then start making a name for herself in the Shadows.

-Archibald 'Archie' Bailey is a retired shadowrunner-turned-fixer. He's largely responsible for teaching Lovelace the more advanced ways of the Matrix and they worked together (with a number of other local talents) in adapting to the new Matrix Protocols of 2074. There isn't much between them besides business, but they do trust each other

-Henry Wan is a dwarven combat decker for the Tongs in Chinatown. He and Lovelace first met on opposite sides of a 'runner incident. They managed to iron out their differences, and both have proven useful to the other since, but there's no real friendship in their relationship.

Mike "Mick" Smith.
Birmingham lad, still speaks with a bit of a brummy accent but it's mellowed a touch in the 5 years he's been down in London.
At 30, he's seen enough and had a few scrapes over the years, working primarily in security.
He'd worked his way up to middle management, doing alright for himself. His charm and dedication helped him make friends, but a
motorbike trip up in the north yorkshire moors ended in disaster as he hit an oncoming drone tractor and was severely injured.
He would have been paralysed were it not for the wonders of modern medicine, having his arm and spinal column rebuilt as the broken bones were set and left to heal.
The extended sick-leave was enough for his rivals to secure his unemployment, they had him strung up for gross misconduct; willfully participating in an activity deemed hazardous to an employees continued employment.
His partner left amongst all the financial strife and the corporate-paid flat was yanked along with his contract.
It wasn't long before his skills were needed out in the shadows. Contacts set him up with a few "friends of friends" and he's been running for about a year now,
Generally being able to cut a deal or pull a con in situations that many wouldn't.
Outside of "work" he's an avid motoGP fan, doing his best to watch as many races as the irregular working hours will allow and likes heading into town for a beer or two.
He's 5'11", short dark hair and sports a stubbly beard that only disappears for formal meets.

After careful consideration, coupled with the fact I don't care if you cheat- you are all responsible for your own dice, monitoring edge/health, and resources. We're all adults here ( I may not be, but by law I am one), so I you need to cheat at the equivalent of playing a book, go for it. I hope to god it bring you some happiness as you must have a sad life.
Also, I have to admit something. I joined up into the Shadowrun world with 4e, and got much deeper in 5e. I may not know as much as you. Love to learn though.
Finally, I don't have as much play by post experience as some. I love PbP, but I'm still learning. If I step on your toes, it's by stupidity, not maliciousness. Sorry in advance. I'm aiming for one post a day on my side, and I'd like that much from you. But, this is a game, so if life happens, it happens. I hope its crazy fun and not something horrible.

So in the interest of maintaining flavor, or as my character would put it flavour I have a couple questions:
General: Are all of our characters native to the UK? If not, where are you from? I know Mick is a Brummie, and Lovelace is from London proper. That means although they both 'speak with an English accent' their speech patterns and accents are actually somewhat distinct from each other.
Fwiw, Lovelace normally speaks Estuary English with a touch of Cockney influence. For those not familiar, London English is split into a continuum that goes Cockney <-- Estuary English --> Received Pronunciation, with the latter half being what you normally hear from documentary narration or the BBC. Bit of a simplification but yeah.

Originally i was thinking lesser, but at the same time common does have a bit of an appeal to it.

So in the interest of maintaining flavor, or as my character would put it flavour I have a couple questions:
General: Are all of our characters native to the UK? If not, where are you from? I know Mick is a Brummie, and Lovelace is from London proper. That means although they both 'speak with an English accent' their speech patterns and accents are actually somewhat distinct from each other.
Fwiw, Lovelace normally speaks Estuary English with a touch of Cockney influence. For those not familiar, London English is split into a continuum that goes Cockney <-- Estuary English --> Received Pronunciation, with the latter half being what you normally hear from documentary narration or the BBC. Bit of a simplification but yeah.

Ted is from San Dimas PCC where he grew up in a nature commune. He was always picked on for being disabled so he learned to be the funny guy/ class clown to get people to laugh with him and not at him. When he hit his early teens it was obvious he was no normal ork as his face started to discolor. His human parents told him it was just acne, but acne does not turn ones entire face florescent pink in an almost perfect V shape. The jokes and jibes turned to straight bullying so Ted ran away from home and into the PCC wilderness. Having almost no survival skills and a severe physical handicap, the wilds were not kind to him. After several days of wandering he heard a racket in the distance and found Bill tinkering with an old radio. Bill was so startled by Ted's arrival he jolted and accidentally fixed the old tech and it started blaring Runnin With The Devil (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bl4dEAtxo0M), and Wyld Stallions was born
We knew the PCC music scene didn't appreciate our new (old) style of music so we hit the road and ended up in *Insert Sir Hiss' home town here* where we met sir his and inducted him into the band. He understood our pain and we used those feelings to make most righteous music. We tried the music scene in *Insert Sir Hiss' home town here* and found no success. After Bill did a little research we learned that all the best, most rockin bands, were discovered in jolly old England and here we are. The London metroplex hasn't delivered us fame and fortune like we hoped though and we've turned to the shadows. After all, shadowrunners get almost as many babes as rock stars right? Why not be both?!

Bill also tends to take less of wet work jobs, as they're most heinous and instead focuses on things like kidnapping for example, or otherwise transporting personages of economical importance to places they need to go. Especially if they're babes who need to be saved from some royal ugly dude.

well its going to be tough to move the next scene with the GM at a con this week. We could always do a slight flashback sequence of the group of us first sitting down before Arty got there. Or we could all have a personal flash back. Anything to keep us occupied while the bossman works his trade!

Lovelace is reconfiguring (or preconfiguring I suppose) her cyberdeck. ASDF = 2355, running Browser and Toolbox so final setup is 2365 with data search times being halved.

That's the GM's call. I do in my games because i like everything to be open but most like to keep dice hidden in case of stray flukes that kill characters so they can fudge it lol

At the moment, I think Bill is the van basically. So yeah, travel by centaur.

No problems with not being a Brit native (rather more difficult for a naga after all). It's more of a curiosity thing. Looks like we have three Brits and 3 non-Brits then.
As far as transportation goes, there is Bill, Mick's Honda Spirit and Caleb's CN Jackrabbit. That gives us a 2-seater, a subcompact, and a centaur for lugging any sort of contraband/heavy equipment.

Right so, OOC I know Lady Glendower is the Duchess of Snowden, an elf, and on the short list for the throne. What i don't know is how much Lovelace would necessarily know of that.
Most of that is probably fairly common knowledge for a Brit, though looking at all of our knowledge skills only Caleb has a high chance of knowing it all in detail.
Anyhow it looks like we have a ball to go to, and Lovelace is the only girl :-P

BTW if I'm being too crazy for you guys let me know and I'll tone it down. I've never made a crazy/silly character before and its been fun. But i don't want that to be at the expense of your fun! I'll be more than happy to tone it down from 11 to 7-8 if you need me to!

As for Lady Glendower's message, I can't honestly tell from what we have if it's an alternative job offer, an offer for assistance, or what. All she said is she knows about Art, Can help, and to contact a different person than Art recommended.

Also CSJ warned us of a twist IC some I'm looking at it with a skeptical eye to begin with. I would say shoot Arty a message but he said we couldn't until we were finished :(

Still need to figure out who has the 'togs and gear necessary to get into a Temple district party, and then Lovelace at least needs to do some Matrix searches on the Proposition, Addison Hughesm and Ms. Elwes. Anyone else have Knowledge skills or contacts that could come in handy?

I don't actually know the artist for the original work but man it just seemed appropriate.
The minor irony in that picture is that Lovelace is actually the one packing a heavy pistol for a sidearm, while Mick has a Fichetti Security as a primary. Drawing kinda shows it other way around.

Fully Intending to do some Matrix searches but we haven't exactly exhausted our conversation yet. Also we've had a number of people say things with no actual response. Then there's the fact that given the timeframe required for Matrix Search extended tests that I'm not gonna go collapse in the middle of a meet-and-greet place :-P
Also recommendation so as not to break IC flow is to ask "Do you want to do something before moving forwards?" in OOC rather than IC :-)
EDIT: I'm operating off the assumption that we at least got introduced to each other name-wise prior to talking to Art. Just basic introductions, no "this is what I do"

Can't speak for anyone else, but with the two of you going back and forth and the mission itself, I do feel like I've put myself in a game I'd like to play - but with a character I'd like to play in a less serious planning / more pink mohawk game.
My bad for getting caught up while thinking about that. Thoughts?

Not sure what we can do about the mission, I mean game was advertised as being for London Falling (http://rpg.drivethrustuff.com/images/2216/140722.jpg) after all. As for the mohawk side, we might still be able to make it work out (I'm a big proponent of the theory that for every pink mohawk team out there, there's a team of trenchcoat-wearing shadowrunners working behind the scenes.)
On the other hand it is rather early in the run, it might be okay to shift characters so long as you don't mould the character too much using knowledge of the run? That's kinda up to the GM though. Also, did I really just type "mould?" Setting's getting to me. Also maybe not 100% a problem given there are 4 runs and we only have very basic knowledge on one of them
EDIT: on game topic: Csjarrat, isn't Clapham Common south of the river? Just south of modern day Battersea Power Station/2070s Angel Tower Arcology? Guess we'll be meeting in the Squeeze :-P.

I'm not a rules lawyer, and I don't really care how we game (I'n the we all have fun way, not the I don't give a crap way). So, If you want to magically change who you are, go for it! I'd like the players to have a blast instead of having to be a character they don't want. Just change your stats post and we're good from my end.

I've no problem if you want to make a different runner. Nothing wrong with an early ret con. Just remember the leg work phase only lasts so long. Then maybe we can let our freak flags fly? Only time will tell.

no idea how it works in the shadowrun lore, but Clapham common was always a bit scummy and full of dive bars, hence the suggestion.

Nah, it's as good a place as any. Lore-wise south of the river is pretty rough neighborhood but the sourcebooks spend a lot more focus on the Square Mile and immediately around it. I can't actually see anything about Southside except a brief mention in Conspiracy Theories. Angel Towers is a sinless arcology (potentially bug infested per fluff) but none of the sources I've skimmed actually say what happened to the various parks and commons. Besides, it's 2075. The Gov't has been trying to put the LCZ back on the map since 2074 so we might as well go.
The Lore andHistory of SR is one of my favorite parts but we don't have to let canon prevent us from giving it our own flavor, so long as GM Doesn't have something there….
Edit: Shadows of Europe is actually the most broad entry for London that I've seen out of the 3 sources i've dug up. Conspiracy Theories is a bit more in depth but the real meat and potatoes is in the actual London Sourcebook, which is a 2052 sourcebook.

Like I said before, I might be the newest on the SR here. I've read the modern stuff, but it tends to get harder to get the collected lore together. That makes it both fun, and a pain to find the back story besides what's given. I would really like some collected back story stuff with a little more details then the Sixth World Almanac. It's good but is planet scale when I need a city map.

Also even a posh hotel's public bathroom isn't really somewhere you want to sit for awhile...
Incidentally Mick and Lovelace may want to think about a makeup touchup or disguise of some sort prior to going in. Wouldn't want to be fingered from security logs easily...

I'm not 100% sure I CAN do anything about my hand razors, but they are supposed to be ceramic and are at least Alphaware... Also I have other cyberware that ought to at least ring up a false positive before the razors.

Strangely enough, The Wyld Stallions, apparently isn't all that odd of a thing. There was another band the Wild Side in the Runfaster book that consisted of a Pixie Centaur and Sasquatch.
I don't know what happened to everyone else around me though, I'm the only one still on the outside who's still post worthy right now. Imveros has kinda disappeared for the last few days.

Right now you have one person who's asked you to determine the results of an election before it's announced/voted on, while the other has asked you to sway the election in her way. Both require you to get the missing person to the capital to cast the vote. Doesn't seem to contradict one another.

I'll be finishing up the rebuild of Rocking Horse here soon too, cause well, without Ted, bill by himself is kinda sad, and he totally would have left with Ted.
So rebuilding the taur so he's not someone who has to be re-introduced completely, just he doesn't have the bromance that was suppose to be with the two earlier.

And her background. Some fleshing out probably needed to cover all the details of the character sheet, but I wanted to get her up.
Tanya Astasia, Lady Marisart was born into one of Great Britain’s noble families on December the third, 2045. Her father was Bryan, Lord Marisart, fifteenth viscount of Aryn. The rest of her family consisted of her mother, Monica, and two older brothers, Joseph and Conrad. Tanya was a normal, if mischievous, girl, and attended all the right schools that were designed to prepare her to be the tame wife of a social elite to be determined by her father. All changed the night of her coming out ball. A drunk driver sped through a round-about and crashed into the family car, ejecting Tanya. The drunk died as did the rest of Tanya’s family, although she did not learn of this for some time.
Her own injuries had been extensive and life threatening. While the surgeons did the best they could, they were unable to save her eyes or her right arm and her ears were damaged to the point that they were practically useless. Family money bought some of the best cyber implants available, replacing ears, eyes and arm with replicas that are practically indistinguishable from but far more capable than the originals.
By the time she was able to leave the hospital she found that her life had truly changed in more ways than just physical. The original trustees for her estate had collectively mismanaged it and stolen from it. The current trustee, her cousin Jeffrey Marisart, had inherited the title of Viscount based on archaic inheritance laws that saw the estates go to the oldest male in the line. To his credit, he had managed to stem the losses and even recouped some of the original value. He set Tanya up with a large flat in London for which she did not have to pay and provided her with 1000 Nuyen each month to cover expenses.
Tanya made the best of her life after death, as she called it. She wedged herself into the circles of the social elite, but soon found that her stipend was insufficient to continue in that vein. Cousin Jeffrey was unwilling to support Tanya’s expenses so she decided that the best way to maintain her lifestyle was to either marry rich or steal from the rich. She has seen far too many elitist couples torn apart by or hiding affairs and indiscretions and decided that marriage was not the way to go, so she started stealing. She had been diagnosed as a kleptomaniac at an early age, so the decision seemed only natural to her. She fits in well in the circles of the rich and powerful and has cultivated a fence to help her divest herself of the things she has taken. Her new life has allowed her to add some expensive and rather painful augmentations to her body, such as an implanted commlink and some bioware aids to her skills. She goes through lovers like water, and there is always another just around the corner when she tires of the current one. Her current bed partner is George Landon, the second son of one of the MPs of London. He is completely oblivious to her second life, but he looks good and his sexual technique is passable.
Amongst her influential contacts is Sir Gregory Murdoch, the current master of a media empire that spans Great Britain and Europe. It helps that he is an uncle from her mother’s side of the family, but the two share a common disdain for most of the rest of the elitist nobility, from titled members of the ancient class to those belonging to the new elite of the megacorporations. Her one true friend is Lilith Wade, AKA Carly Bright. Carly is the New Big Thing in rock music and is perhaps the only other person to know that Tanya is a thief.
Tanya goes by the street name of Lady Spades and has taken to brazenly leaving a queen of spades card at the scenes of her robberies. She maintains a second ID of Robyn Evers and has arranged for a bolt hole under that name that she uses in emergencies. At this time she is riding high from her latest theft and is contemplating her next one.

I guess at this point I am just waiting to be worked into the plot. I could suggest being an invitee to the party give my social status. Of course I am casing someone to see if they have something worth lifting. I am sure that the GM can fit me in almost anywhere. Very excited to get in with you guys.

Nimrod Rothschild is a descendant of the Rothschild family. A Jewish family of great wealth and power that once funded Jewish settlements in Israel and Argentina. Living in Israel for a while Nimrod do not like his family one bit. He believes that they do not like him one bit for themselves. Anything they did in his upbringing failed he got the best education and threw it away. Life cannot be captured by books. Instead, he experience life... this adventurous spirit of him has let to many scandals, until for the good of anyone he decided to start using a fake SIN.
He used his family connections and once the SIN was out they never saw him again. He met a beautiful and yet unstable chaos mage and the two started a passionate love affair, somehow he sort of picked that up, ditching his hermetic studies for Chaos. But chaos mages live fast and die young and so did his lover. While he wasn’t sure that she actually died, a couple of years later she disappeared completely not a word not a trace not nothing. When she disappeared she took a credstick with a lot of money with her. The money should have been a down payment on a relatively modest country house in the outskirts of London. He did not contact his family to replace the money... instead he asked a friend from the Italian Mafia for help... they are good guys after all. It made no sense and this is why it made perfect sense for him.
Noodle Soup, moved on... the transition into the shadows was very simple for him. First it was some drek jobs for the Mafia... an occasional beating for not paying in time. He actually enjoyed it, for the first time in his life the feeling that there is something lurking in the shadows trying to get him. He quickly connected to a fixer and followed his life passion - to be a force of chaos in the world.

I am thinking that Tanya is going to try to steal something here and that one of the PCs will see her skill and ask if she might want something a bit more. of course, there are other ways to get us into the team and the game and I will leave the ultimate choice to the GM and other players. I do hope that I am a good fit.

Last week, I got slammed at work, so I'm sorry that I haven't posted for a bit. I'm back now, so let's roll.
A quick summary of where we are now. You have a deal from Art. Art wants you to find out how a vote is going to go, and he got in into the party to talk to people. On your way there, another party contacted you asking for you to meet with someone there. You've learned that the vote is a dead head with the speaker getting an extra vote in a tie, and he's most likely going to vote against it as he's voted against it once.
You're new friend told you that the one vote unaccounted for is for Lord Helling. He's a crazy recluse, who votes from home. She's asked you to go there and get his vote, and get a yes out of him. She's willing to pay, and she gave you his address.
The group also talked to the Minister of transport, and got roughly the same story.
What would the group like to do now?
This table hasn't had the best of luck, but I think we can pull though.

I do think that it can pull through. I do not think that my character is involved yet with the main plot so I am trying to get an invite by linking up with the pair at the pre-ball party. Maybe we can work something out, especially if they realize they have lost some of their group already.
