Not sure how to do the "link" thing, but check out this article; interesting, eh?

Feels like legal issues of unregistered fliers and the kind of 'potential danger" that they'd represent will keep this tech out of our reach forever.
Damn the man.

Ok this is cool. It would suck in the winter here in Mich but hey it's an Fing jetpack. For the Win!
-
Has anyone been able to find a single video of the jetpack flying more than 5 feet off the ground? I haven't.
Makes me suspicious.

It's not even a jetpack technically. It's a personal-sized helicopter that uses ducted fans for propulsion.
-
By the way, Mythbusters did a piece on home-made "jet-packs" like this one. Episode 32 (http://mythbustersresults.com/episode32)

What I want to know is: who in god's name would be stupid enough to build a jet pack at home, with instructions they got off the internet in the first place?
These people I suppose:

Eagles may soar, but weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.
That's kinda cool saw it in Popular Science iirc a while back.

I don't think that you would have any more legal issues with this than you do with ultralights or light-sport aircraft in the US.
If I had $75K to burn, I would get one. ;D

That would be awesome.
