So I'm working on trying out something, since the group I'm working with has a number of people already, and FA killed my mages.  (We had a lot of mages anyways)

Basically working on an AI drone rigger, who pilots a secretary drone.

What I'm trying to figure out here
1) How do you stop GOD from now just coming in and smashing your face with with the all mighty ban hammer.
2) Do Autosofts work like skillwires for an AI?
3) Any particular pitfalls to be careful of?
4) Does the cyberware that can be placed in the drones arms and legs actually do anything? Especially like hyrdolic shocks
Concepts are great, but implementation sucks. Why not improve it?

GOD has no reason to converge on you as a Rigger as you are not breaking any matrix laws

#2.  Autosofts have some similarity to skillwires, but aren't quite.  Drones can run a number equal to their Pilot rating, RCCs let you share them among drones, you can spend Edge, and each model of drone needs it's own autosoft.

#3.  Drones are fragile.  Riggers need Reaction, Logic, Agility, and Intuition, and a crapton of skills.

#4.  Should work as advertised.

GOD Does the moment I Load Walk like a monkey advance program. The moment one is loaded I gain an OS equal to my depth. The in addition to the normal

for 3, would Reaction/Agility be replaced by the drone's pilot stat, like it would be on a normal dog brained drone?

So either don't run WLAM at all, or only run it for short periods of time when you absolutely have to. This isn't as big an issue as you think it is.
After all you don't send an electrician to fix your leaking toilet.

Once you get an OS, it keeps increasing. Doesn't matter if the advanced program is turned off, I'll still continue to keep having it increase. I can't find the rules on how an AI resets that, just lots of things on how GOD and demiGOD smashes AIs for performing any special AI action.

#3.  Drones are fragile.

To tag along with this line, vehicle (and drone) repair rules crush Riggers.  Since you are going with a secretary drone, you are looking at a minimum 2K Nuyen per box of damage repair cost and it will go up from there with any modifications.

I can't find the rules on how an AI resets that,

The best idea that I have is drop into the Foundation for a while.  I'm not saying it is all that easy, but it is the only way that I can think of that will do the trick.

There are some holes and traps in the A.I. rules.  I don't think anyone pointed out the problems A.I.s have with how easy it is to lose essence, and of course there's no way to repair essence.

As for OS score, it's probably not too much of a stretch for a GM to just let you reboot the persona to clear OS score like how everything else does it.
RPG mechanics exist to give structure and consistency to the game world, true, but at the end of the day, you’re fighting dragons with algebra and random number generators.

We found the part that lets them reset the OS score in the section that is about device-less AI. Basically just like a decker got to load into a device and then reboot it.

The AI rules are really borked at the moment mate, I really wouldn't bother.
That said, you can make a mean street Sam out of one of you've got a good repairman in your team already but it's a really complex way of just getting a street Sam going

Actually, in most Shadowrun games, they typically have a Lifestyle so they're either Murder Hobos (Street/Squatter Level) or Murder Renters (Low+ level)

Here is what i put together for the drone AI.

From my understanding here, most tests that would require movement would be Pilot + Pilot(Walker) + 2 for control rig. Don't know if AI get the "hot sim" bonus like riggers do though.

So for my drone, I'd get +1 pilot for Designer and can get +1 pilot for optimization. Giving me around +6 +6 +2 or around 14 for the moment.

Is the multifuel engine so that your AI can practice eating things?
