I think it's a very good point, the first description as aztec spirit i understood, by the 2nd as pretty elf faces was just creepy.

Those were examples, I think the main idea is that they are gas masks that are deliberately skinned in some motif and or style and are not necessarily obviously a gasmask. I basically think its a gas mask designed to fit the styling and esthetics of a high fashion armor from Run & Gun. I basically assume that there is a high fashion gas mask for every high fashion armor set as well as some that are custom made and ordered or pre made to fit certain cultures such as Aztec masks or variors NAN tribal masks etc.
