You know, the Nazis had lines ... They made the Jews stand in.

Seriously, I cannot think of anything worth standing in line for.

I'd stand in line for 5 minutes alone with my governor, alone and off camera.

I'll be there!  When I get back from Florida, my g/f's badge should be sitting at the house.  I already know Bull will be smiling and handing me my badge when we have our meet...I assume it will be at the usual time and place (Wed/1800/Food Court area)?

I'm still trying to drag Shaun along to GM so keep your fingers crossed that he can make it!

Dumb question from the newb. Is gencon during the same week and at the same place every year?

Same Place, yes, same week, no.

This link shows the dates for upcoming show:
http://www.gencon.com/2011/indy/cs/attendees/futuredates.aspx

Things tend to get shuffled around slightly due to other, larger events going on in Indy, such as the Brickyard and Colts events.

They roll with as close to the same date as possible each year though.  Usually 1st or 2nd weekend in August.

GenCon was a blast! I didn't know that I could actually function on that little amount of sleep. Great to see old friends and hang out with so many cool gamers!  ;D

Agreed! Gen con was totally awesome. Enjoyed GMing more than I thought I would. Possibly because during my time slots, the rest of our 'group' were gming also--mostly LFR, but some other things too. I got to meet new people, who liked the game, always a good thing.

Granted, tormenting John is always enjoyable. I am totally GMing when he's room captain, just so I can have him at my beck and call.

It was my first Gencon and in spite of my having to leave early for personal reasons, everyone - especially the folks who ran the Scramble and who played with me - made it very awesome. Thanks so much to everyone!

This con also inspired me to start posting here. So, Hi!

Did anyone snag any pictures? I was a dummy and didn't take any. :(

Being room captain was cool and I don't mind being at the beckand call of all the GM's running games.  ;D

The one thing that really worked out was that I happened to be staying in the JW Marriot where the Missions were being run. Having to move all of the SR gear at opening and closing was a great deal easier than what it could have been.

Only downside is that a case of ConCrud nailed me at precisely 7:42 last night. Slept most of the day and I am starting to feel better now.

I've had a lot to think about it and consider what was the best purchase of the entire 'Con.

And, I'm still certain. It's my Hong Kong Cavaliers Combat Biker Team button. Best $1 I have EVER spent.
