Actually, both I and the Wyrm are Milwaukee born and bred.  Being in Milwaukee isn't going to the boondocks, it's going home.

The North End of Winnipeg isn't the boonies, it's the closest thing Canada has to Barrens, as far as I can tell.

Thawed out.  New York (State and City) is farther north than some parts of Canada.

Your geography needs work.  Michigan is right across the lake from Chicago.  You're thinking Detroit.

Come to Southern Ontario in the summer.  We have visitors from Texas, Alabama, and Louisiana who complain about the heat. . . and that`s because the humidity is so bad, it makes it feel worse than home to them.
