The sensor housing table lists max sensor ratings for headware as 2, and cyberlimbs as 5. Entries for both categories don't mention anything about how much capacity they take or even what type can be added to what.

I assume that each sensor type takes up 1 capacity and common sense rules, such as a cyberear can't take a laser mic, a cybereye with an olfactory sensor, etc.

Is there official word on this?  What is y'all's take on it?

Capacity listed in brackets is required capacity, and marked like so: [1]

Capacity not listed in brackets is available capacity: 1

Either type can be a single number, as above, or a range: 1-3, [1-3]

The specific information for sensor capacity is on p446, in the table named 'Sensors'. Officially, sensors (single or array) may be placed in any device that has the requisite capacity to hold them.

Cyberears only accept Earware and Cybereyes only accept Eyeware (both tables on p. 454)

Ok so sensor implants still require a housing? So I can put an array in a cyberarm or torso provided it has the slots left?

What confuses it is, why list a rating limit for "headware" then if headware items can't take them? Do they only mean cyberskulls?  Then why not say that in the table?

Feel free to quote that for the convenience of others.

It's likely for future convenience - when there's headware with capacity.

Lol It's not like the rulebook has no ambiguity or contradicts itself.

I was highlighting a point, but your (pre edit) post was right.

There's also no mention of either under sensor housings, unless you lump them under audio / visual or headware.
