I’ve read the entry in the phb about sports.
I don’t own any supplemental books and wondered if sports got better coverage in one of them.

I want to make a disgraced pro ball player.  Kicked out of the league for juicing.

Mundane, Addicted, uses combat drugs and a baseball bat.

Well traditional sports still exists. Sr1e book Shadow Beat covers some of them.
Baseball is alive and well (cannot reminder whether it allows Augmentation though)
NFL is here (Ware is IN, magic might not be)
I assume soccer is here to stay too and like footballl might be tainted.
Sumo would be kept “clean” both of races and Augmentation.

Most recently sports in SR was given a treatment/update in the SR4 book Attitude - may be easier to find than Shadowbeat. There may have been some minor mentions in more recent books, but nothing game-changing.

Also, there's a list of major sports franchises (and thus sports) stickied on the general discussion forum. Sadly, just the team names, no hint from what source they come, but it seems to be a fairly comprehensive list.

Chrome Flesh mentions differnt sports and their additude towards augmentations...its in the early part, where they mention actors and athletes beeing scrooed by CFD
