Mechanically astral combat it is... the Hellhound is incapable of even hitting Bobby his 9 intuition means 18 dodge dice, and base initiative of 18.  VS 7 attack dice, 4 dice to resist damage and 8 dice to dodge.  Charisma 8 - meaning damage is 8 + net hits and 4 dice to resist damage to the hound. 2 hits for almost 100% down, 1 good hit with 10 damage it is also down.

Unless the diceroller glitches I would not worry too much about the outcome;)

That again, using no violence may be nicer if we can pull it off.

Astral combat, Jawsey (J)) going after the Hellhound (HH).

J init: 18+3d6 29
HH init: 10+3d6 18

Is the HH surprised?
HH surprise check: 10d6t5 4
No.

Pass 1, Jawsey attacks first on 29
Astral combat 6 + willpower 5 -1 bcg= 10
J astral combat: 10d6t5 3
edge astral attack: 6d6t5 3 for total of 6 hits
HH dodge: 9d6t5 3

hits with 2 extra succeses, taking DV up to 10
HH soak: 3d6t5 2
HH takes 8 stun damage.  Init drops to 16, -2 penalty

HH attacks on 16
HH attack: 5d6t5 1
J dodge: 13d6t5 6
dodges

Jawsey attacks on 19
J attack: 10d6t5 3
HH has dodged once, is at -2  HH dodge: 4d6t5 2
Hit, DV stays at 8
HH soak: 3d6t5 1
takes 7 more stun, which knocks it out and does 5 physical damage to it.

So, 2/3 of  turn, or a couple of seconds?  Long enough for the hound to probably make some noise, but hopefully nothing too crazy.

(stun: 0, phys: 1, edge 1/4.)

Overflow Stun converts to Physical at a 2:1 ratio, so the hell hound would be KO'd with 2 boxes of Physical. The rest looks right to me.

First, you shortened yourself a die in the edge reroll:
1 extra dice: 1d6t5 0
nevermind:

Second, you had 6 successes and hound had 3 defense hit, so +3 net hits, 2 hits soaked so you did 9 DV in the first turn. I think it means he'll have 3 physical at the end.

Nice fighting - and great IC post.

I stand corrected; it appears that gilga is right.

I'll wait for the GM's input before posting ICly.

I'll buy hits for the sweep of the apartment.

Perception (Visual): 16 dice = 4 hits for visual
Perception (Audio): 3 hits for hearing
Perception (Scent): 3 hits for smelling (I can lose up to 3 dice due to interfering odors and still get 3 hits)

My IC didn't mention it so I'll go back and edit it in: Mato will run a bug scanner over the kid (and, if necessary, a tag eraser) before Bobby transforms him.

Ok, IC post has been edited.

@Jack
Shapechange has the Body +/- 2 limit. We don't know Brian's Body, but since he's an ork we'll probably need something closer to Body 4 than a pug. Maybe a German shepherd? Perhaps it was there to mate with the hell hound and got bit in the process. That's how we could explain the missing hand/paw, should anyone ask.

Still around too.  I'm guessing that his MBA program has swallowed our GM for now.  I'm hoping it will ease off enough for us to continue as this campaign has had a promising start.  But I know a lot of those programs can be pretty intense

Sorry, I guess I really dropped the ball.  I only even remembered that I had this on my docket a couple of days ago, and it looks like the site has been down.  I may have bitten off a little more than I could chew.

If it makes you feel better, the site was down for the last 2-3 days so you couldn't have posted anyway.

Would you like to continue, perhaps with a revision in scope?

Hi guys,
since I kind of like the characters - would you like to form a new game around them (should this one be dead of course)? Perhaps one of us could GM it?
