I want to start a podcast and I realize that the easiest way to get people interested and focus my mental energy on specific topics per episode would be to have an idea of what people want to know more about. Since my area of expertise is on the "fluff" it's easier for me to talk about the setting and history than about rules mechanics that I still don't particularly know very well.

It's got to be covered, so start at the beginning!

There has been such a large influx of new people to SR with the launch of 5e (and that's not counting those that jumped in with 4e...) that "How it all started" is something many players just don't know.

So start with the seretech decision of 1997 and move forward.
Where am I going? And why am I in a hand basket ???

The Neo-Anarchist Podcast from Opti covered the full history of the Shadowrun setting from the Seretech decision onwards.

It's all available on iTunes.
"His name is Sterling. He’s an ex-pat Brit making a living as a fixer and a hacker in Metropole. He’s a rare blend of upstanding and fun...(so) listen to his experience."

It's all available on iTunes.

And now I will NEVER listen to it.
The FIRST time I tried to use itunes, I lost 2000 hours of music as itunes DELETED every song I had (Cause I didn't buy them from itunes!)

The SECOND time I tried itunes I ended up with a corrupted harddrive and it took me 3 days to get my system back up and running.

The THIRD time, gave me the exact same result as the SECOND time.

So.... itunes, iphones, anything with a fucking rotten apple on it can die in a fucking fire. And I wouldn't even piss on it to put out the flames.

Well, you're in luck Reaver because you don't have to use iTunes if you don't want to.

Episodes are available on Opti's website, or from podomatic.com. Click below for the first episode:

Personally I would love to hear about runners' lives in other places than Seattle, especially places not recently updated like both Tirs (Ireland in particular) and maybe tips on turning Black Trenchcoat runs enough acceptable Pink Mohawk and vice versa.
Make it a mix of lore and advice perhaps
If Tom Brady’s a Spike Baby, what does that make Brees and Rodgers?

Cool cool cool.

I definitely think it'll be worth going over the history regarding OOC and in-game differences.

I'd love to have another Shadowrun podcast to listen to. History from another perspective is good. How the people who aren't normal wageslaves scrape by is of interest (I quite enjoy playing changelings and metavariants).

I eagerly await what you have to offer!

I removed the four episodes I made and decided that I'd rather not continue.
