155 for 1 throwing knife or 160 for 1 throwing star seems ridiculous in price. Are these supposed to be for 10 (which would make more sense)?

They're simply not meant to be expendable, you should retrieve them afterwards. Unlike arrows they won't break on impact.
How am I not part of the forum?? O_O I am both active and angry!

Bill Mr. Johnson for expenses in the case of shuriken you can't retrieve and have to replace.
RPG mechanics exist to give structure and consistency to the game world, true, but at the end of the day, you’re fighting dragons with algebra and random number generators.

Just comparing it to the prices for them now-a-days.

I would guess it's because even knives and shuriken have wireless capabilities in the 6th world.  :)

p. 251 Wireless bonus: Successful hits leave wireless weapons in targets that can be used to predict movement patterns and offer an estimated location. A successful hit offers anyone wirelessly linked to the throwing weapon and using a smartlink system a +1 dice pool bonus for their attacks.

It's fine. Just drop 1800 on pistol-sized semi-auto grenade launcher, and everything will work itself out...
