Robin could begin to make out shapes in the ruin of a department store. This was for sure a decker's place, tech everywhere. As he made his way across the street, he could hear the small arms fire continuing from the north side of the building. "Pretty sure those two can handle themselves, not much I can do at the moment, just have to keep moving maybe I can blind side those gangers. Ha, who knows maybe I'll get lucky and I can get the target too." Robin continues to move towards the darkened northwest corner of building, keeping his eyes open for anything.

Kynos and Fenris
The African-American troll moving to aid the fallen ork guard grunts in frustration as the pepperpunch solution sprays all over his armored vest. Somehow he finds the strength to carry on, swooping the paralyzed ganger up in a deft fireman’s carry and turning around to head back into the northern entrance. The troll firing at Fenris suddenly stops, the silence more deafening than the bullets. Together, they three begin to beat a retreat, heading back into the supposed safety of the department store.

Robin
As Robin progressed deeper into the ruins, a heavy fire door set into the western interior wall suddenly opened. A bulky ork with Hispanic features, wide and fearful eyes, and an AK-97 stepped out of the door. The newcomer scanned the darkness before turning and heading toward the southern portion of the store, moving in Robin’s direction. The ork was, at this point, about 30 meters out from Robin.

I forgot the troll's natural armor, but whatever. The troll takes 6P(?) damage.[/spoiler]

Lining up his shot and snapping off a burst, Kynos manages to nick the troll with the AK-97 charging back into the building. Only one of the bullets actually hit him, but even for a troll that should be enough. A bullet grazes his left shoulder as he lurches into the dark, howling. He was still standing, but between that and the nasty dose of pepperpunch he'd already inhaled, Kynos knew he wouldn't be running far.

"Got the shooter, but it's a tough nut, they are retreating inside."
Kynos moved closer without bothering to chase after them. He had hit the Troll, there would be a nice blood trail to follow. Not to mention that the pepperpunch needed a moment to kick in.
"Get into gear, Fenris."

Robin moved as quietly as he was able to through the ruins. If it wasn't for his magic concealing his presence he probably would have been spotted. Set in the western interior he noticed the Ork coming out of a heavy fire door. "Shit, that is probably a safe room. Hmm she doesn't exactly look like a hardened fighter, lets see if I can make this a bit more interesting." Robin crouched near the best cover available to him and drew his revolver as a precautionary measure. He began concentrating, imagining a swirling maelstrom of emotion and chaos, reaching out and asking the void for aid as he always did. It felt almost as if he was on the edge of a nightmare as the power for the spell poured into him. He could feel the fear in an abstract way, not in the sense that he was afraid, but when you can sense another's panic. Robin focused on the Ork girl for a moment and could feel the spells power reach out for the physical plane. As the spell began to take hold on the physical world, it almost seemed as though the shadows took a tighter hold on the world around the spell.

As soon as the fully automatic fire ceased Fenris was on his feet and dashing towards the eastern wall to circumvent the pepperpunch gas.

"Covering east; taking fire escape to 2nd." His words were clipped, spoken in-between breaths as his powerful legs propelled him forward at incredible speed.

Drifting grenade smoke being lit up like glowing clouds from muzzle flashes is a clear indicator that this run is quickly going off the rails. <<Fire escape at the corner is still clear. Everyone seems to be retreating into the building. No activity in the streets so far. No movement visible behind the second floor blinds. If you guys can't locate the target soon, and this escalates much more, I'm going to take out that 2nd floor window.>> "Why couldn't we have just waited for him to show himself? Now we have to worry about outside interference and him possibly escaping..." Keeping an extra close watch on the routes to the Gopher, Hawkeye continues to wait.

Fenris and Kynos
Seeing the trolls and incapacitated ork retreat into the building, Kynos moved swiftly to scale the northeastern corner of the building and climb onto the fire escape. Slinging his weapon and scrambling for purchase on the wall, Kynos made it until he was about four meters from the edge of the fire escape. Fenris darted from his cover and followed immediately after, starting to scale the wall in order to access the fire escape, as well.

Soon, Kynos knew he would be eye level with and able to haul himself over the northern edge of the fire escape. And then he sees it, just a moment before it goes off. A grenade. An ominous green signal light kicked on the moment Kynos saw it, wedged between the exterior wall and the last strut of the fire escape still intact. Before Kynos even had time to shout a warning, it went off. Though he was still a good four meters off, flakes of wall, bits of fire escape and waves of heat still rained over Kynos as the metal stairs fell screeching to the ground, emitting a huge puff of dust into the air as it collapsed.

Robin
The ork, already wide-eyed and a fearful-looking, began to tremble with terror as Robin's spell took hold. It seems the Barrens gave this one some true mettle as its aura resisted, absorbing only a portion of the spell's energy. Still, it was enough to send the ork's knees visibly trembling.

"Frag. Frag. Mage! Mage! Southside!" He bellowed, opening fire with his AK-97. Bullets popped and pinged all around Robin, some reaching as far out into the street as he sprayed in a wide and frenzied arc. Death whizzed all around Robin as the ganger's panicked spraying narrowly missed him.

Hawkeye
It all happens so fast. But as she watches, she sees the dull and smoky flash of explosives detonating beneath the fire escape on the west side of the building, then a giant cloud of dust as the entire fire escape comes crashing to the ground. It obscures her view of Kynos, who was climbing the north side of the fire escape and might have been close enough to be caught in the blast. Fenris, however, is clearly outside of it, momentarily visible between plumes of dust, and lower down on the wall.  The Toyato Gopher Hawkeye was keeping an eye on narrowly escapes the blast and the impact of the falling fire escape. Some wreckage slams into the bed of the pickup, and the shockwave causes it to visibly jump and vibrate, but it seems otherwise intact.

As soon as Hawkeye processes this, she also notices bullets colliding with the plasticrete boulders and the cracked asphalt outside the department store, sending up little puffs of dust themselves with each and every impact. Looks like Robin's taking fire, too.

Kynos reaction consisted in pulling his head between his shoulders and gripping harder on the wall.
The explosion actually prevented that most of the debris hit him. when the wave had washed over him, he started to climb again - as if he was some kind of inevitable, remorseless, bio-mechanical cyborg.
<<How cute, I just found little ganger's first grenade trap.>>

With a last effort he climbed into the gaping hole left by the grenade.

Reaching the wall of the building, Fenris briefly looked around the missing east wall into the structure looking for signs of his prey. The pepperpunch had seemed like it was beginning to dissipate already, but without any protective gear it was still too risky.

Kynos expertly began climbing the remains of the wall near the fire escape, and Fenris prepared to follow just as Fenris heard shouting coming from what he thought was the other side of the structure. He pressed his hands against the wall to follow Kynos, just as the sound and shock wave of an explosion almost knocked him off his feet. "Hah, that man has the luck of the devil if I ever saw it."

"Nice going, Kynos" he subvocalized as the dust was still settling around him, and then he was on his way to follow the human into the structure.

When the grenade went off Hawkeye knew this run had well and truly gone to drek. Time was suddenly a major factor as the powers that be could only ignore something like this for so long, regardless of the area. As the dust from the explosion started to settle and bullets began to issue from inside the building, she realized she had a chance to ensure this fiasco of a run didn't devolve into some kind of horrible street chase. Taking quick aim at the Gopher's engine block in order to take advantage of the fire from the building, she carefully shot a single round and smiled slightly seeing the small impact point on the truck's hood. <<Their vehicle should be disabled now. If he tries to escape that way, let him. And I can't believe I'm saying this, but you guys need to hurry it along. You're attracting all kinds of attention now.>>

The guard immediately began to freak out in front Robin recognizing the fear for what it truly was...magic. Seemingly almost in a visible panic, the guard started shooting wildly in Robin's general direction. Rounds whizzed passed sounding like angry bees flying by at incredible speeds. He could feel the rounds tug slightly at his clothing as they flew past missing him narrowly. "Well today might actually be a good day." It wasn't exactly the response that Robin had hoped for but no plan ever made it past the first engagement anyway. Robin could hear a muffled explosion suddenly as the building shook slightly, dust falling from the walls. "Awesome, looks like we are running out of time. Won't take long for us to attract to much attention." Robin looked to move up into cover in order to close some of the distance between himself and the guard. He was a pretty decent shot considering, and it was always super helpful when you had multiple spells up. Robin moved up and sought out cover closer to the guard while being careful to maintain his line of sight. Once he was in position he took aim and fired at the guard.
