Working on a character that works from the basement of his house, while rarely ever leaving as much as he can.

The character a primerunner/highlife that basically tries to pilot an anthroform drone to act and behave as close to a real person as possible. In fact he spends most of his time in his basement working on developing and designing new parts for his drone, usually having a number of them running around his house.

You have three physical attributes at 1.  I expect most GMs would balk at that - especially when it's mixed with a Body of 5  lol.

Since you only have 3s in hacking and cybercombat, and 5s in most of your remaining bread'n'butter, I'm guessing you'd intend to let sprites do most of the general Matrix stuff. In that case, I'd definitely drop cybercombat altogether (you'll never hit anywhere near as hard as a decent Fault sprite anyway, and are likely to just hurt yourself instead), and use those points to shore up your main pools.

Blades & clubs & unarmed is pretty redundant.  I'd at least drop one of those and use all of those saved points on other things.  (You'd probably favor one melee weapon above all others anyway, right?)  Together with what you save from cybercombat, this would let you have 6s across computer, gunnery, hacking, hardware, software, your melee weapon, and even your secondary melee skill. (I'm guessing you'd want unarmed for the sake of shock gloves right? But why not clubs with a stun baton instead? That'd get you 9 stun vs 8, plus the extra reach...)

I would also drop the token rank of throwing weapons.  Horribly un-economical to use a skill point like that when you could spend a mere 2 karma for the same result. And it's no great loss to just put it off until post-gen.  You'd probably never bother using it anyway, even if you had it.

How are you protecting these 3 drones? With your R3 comm?  I don't see any RCC...  I'm guessing that's because you intend to go Machinist Stream post-gen. And probably MMRI after that.  But until then, the gear you're basing yourself around is going to be susceptible to even the more amateurish hackers.
- So, at the very least, I'd recommend springing for a R5, even R6 comm if you can.

One way you can save some cash is by dropping the nonconductivity from your drone, since it may not stack with the worn nonconductivity anyway. (Idk about this part though. It may be GM-Fiat territory.)
Also, are your little buddies not gonna wear anything?  Pretty soft targets if they don't at least wear armor jackets, not to mention they're a pretty clear sign that you're a rigger.
- Speaking of your drone trio: without an RCC, each one needs its own autosofts. Otherwise they're not actually gonna do much of anything since you can only really be hands-on with one at a time (and unless Kill Code changed it somehow, no sprite has the skills to operate one for you, either).

I'd drop Resonance Spike; it's pure drek. Just sic your Fault sprite on anything you want to brick.  And where's Puppeteer?  That and Diffusion of Firewall are must-haves (or Infusion to help protect your drones), so I'd trade in Static Bomb, too.

Edit for a major point:  How are you moving these things around? You may not need transportation for yourself (you really do, since -5 from relying on Satellite Link is a pretty major penalty to literally everything  you do [and I don't think other noise compensation applies]), but your drones definitely do.

So, I'd move out of the basement and into a van (or whatever) with a cocoon. {Bonus points if you park it down by the river.}
Transport the drones, and ignore distance-based noise at the same time.  Plus, if you trick that out a little, then you get to be the whole team's ride, and move an ever-growing army of drones around.

... Or maybe whatever that Basement Dweller quality is negates this final point, idk

The little buddies are actually going to be sticking around my house more than anything else. They're there for basic support, like cleaning my place up, repairing the big bots, etc. Its why they don't have a whole lot right now to them.  My money is mostly going to the main bot at the start.

I do plan on going the Machinist Stream right after I get the two echos I need, MMM and Painkiller. But as for how I'm protecting the bots, they're going to be on my Biological Pan, Which I just noticed that I've got two grovelers and one is suppose to actually suppose to be One with the Matrix. Its not in Chummer yet, so I took astral chameleon and meant to edit that with my thing. I'd think One with the Matrix should allow me to protect my drones easily since it should give them a firewall resistance of 12 from the start here.

In later works, I did pick up a car, a fiat funone, as I'm not sure what kind of drone I'll be sending later. (Though honestly the Secretary drones seem to be the most economical. )

*******

Combat skills - Might stick to blades/unarmed but honestly don't know where I'd spend the other group points. Did move to to a 6/4 split favoring the computer skill usage though.

Dropped Throwing as suggested, cause yeah it is too low to be economically sound to use skill points on it.

I thought cybercombat had a check where you used it in defense. Just went through the three books and dropped it as well. Never really liked doing cybercombat and like the use more hack on the fly anyways, so as suggested dropping that as well. Likely will use the points to boost hacking and aquire specializations.

I see, I didn't realize those were via group points.  I usually use mine to pick up some etiquette.

Speaking of which, you'll definitely need some of those social skills if you really want to pass your anthro off as an actual person.  Since you're basically impersonating an organic with a drone, you'd probably need etiquette, con, and/or performance; GMs may differ on which would come into play for what.  (Btw, does that thing even have speakers to simulate talking with?)

I don't have Kill Code, so I can't speak to those other things without knowing what they do.

If there is a drone upgrade or whatever that is needed to give it the ability to speak I'll do it, otherwise kinda just running off the rule of cool with the GM.

The two qualities I have from kill code are

Groveler - basically allows me to spend datachips to lower the fade I have to suffer through for resonance actions.
One with the Matrix - Costs 2/8/10 and breaks the rule that you can't join a pan or be the master of a pan with your living persona.

Ohhhh, ok, that makes sense then.  I thought that was a feature of the Machinist Stream (since RCCs have to slave drones to function).

I was just thinking about a pixie techno using an anthrodrone as a mech via a smuggling compartment / mini rigger cocoon in the drone's chest. (lololol)

Made me think about how the meet would work, all the little details of making the anthro pass off as metahuman (like having to make it do expressions, gestures, etc).  It occurred to me that, even with the most realistic features (and wearing sunglasses), my best bet would still be for people to think "I" (my anthro) was just a human who was cybered to the gills.

But cyber reduces essence, which has a social penalty.

TLDR: Always pretending that an anthro is you would have to come with steep social penalties, so you'd better have plenty of Etiquette / Performance / whatever dice to make up for it.
