So as GM we, sometimes, use the old cliché of the Spoiled Bratz who need protection
The "He's not with me" when entering a bar or the running off when the Street Sam have the hands full of bags and clothes is getting, maybe, a little bit of a déjà vu
I had a run one time when the "spoiled bratz" was an Adept, who was doing Kung-Fu SimSens. We didn't had a hacker so our research was king of poor, we didn't know the guy was some kind of a bad ass. Anyway, the target was calling the Tir princes on there feudalism and was a big advocate for Tir democracy. Soon enough they put a price on his head and we were contracted by his agent to bodyguard an elf with a big head.
Ultimately if we failed protecting the guy, he was able to protected itself and we were in debt. Fortunately, it wasn't our first job (as players) and we weren't as dumb as the GM think we were
our plan was rock hard and we had 2 or 3 contingency plan (and some big guns
)
so to you have some revisiting of the old cliché yourself ?
