The gun port vehicle mod is stated to have a "small stability harness" that 4 points of Recoil Compensation. Does that bonus stack with a deployed Bipod/Tripod?

I don't know about what exactly the rules state, but as a GM I'd say no: The stability harness would be taking the space you normally deploy a Bipod/Tripod in.
How am I not part of the forum?? O_O I am both active and angry!

I'm with Michael here. No stacking.

I’d support the notion that since the gun is already being supported by the gun port itself that would cancel out anything that isn’t barrel mounted or internal

I don't really see an effective counter argument.
I have to look and see did concealed turrets make it into 5rh?
I recall a couple rigger vans with Vulcan cannons mounted on top in cargo holders lol.

As a side note: Buying Gunports for your vehicle and either adding smart plattforms or other drones is both cheaper and easier to handle than installing turrets in a given vehicle. Crawler drones are especially useful in that regard.

I had a player buy a bunch of small drones, and changed the propulsion to nill (I think there's an option to make a drone just stick to a surface?) and was talking about using them like the old fashioned police light that you slap on the roof of a car and go...

Getting your grubby little hands on the good stuff is always difficult and expensive in Shadowrun, and if you want to cheap out by using drones as turrets, then Gecko Grips are only Bodyx150 nuyen. And remember, MCT turrets are 4k nuyen and only body 2.

After all you don't send an electrician to fix your leaking toilet.
