been thinking, 4th edition had a modular hand crawler drone that had the same stats as a Aztechnology Crawler and took up 4 slots how would this be possible in 5th and could you have modular ones and mount different weapons on it then all you need is the gunnery  skill instead of pistols automatics exotic dart pistol skills

This plug-in allows the cyberhand to detach
and function as a small crawler drone (use the stats for the
Aztechnology Crawler, p. 350, SR4A).  The fingers of the drone
hand telescope slightly to provide better balance and locomotion,
and the drone hand may be controlled by a rigger normally via
wireless link. The drone hand features sensor and antenna arrays
built into the wrist that are activated when the drone is detached
and may be upgraded normally. the multifunctional and compact
mechanics, however, do not allow further modications.

From that description, nor can you install strength or agility mods into the hand. Only a sensor array that becomes avtive when detached.

But what if the hand owner is a possession mage who is currently channelling a spirit through himself?

As the hand operator paid essence for that cyber hand and it therefore counts as part of the body, could the channelled spirit operate through the hand while it is apart from the main body and thus boost its physical stats by Half it's Force as well as being able to tap the spirits powers?

Because a Hand Drone channelling a Force 8 Fire spirit for +4 physical stats and a Energy (fire) aura on demand  (well depending on how many services you got to spare, but you know what we mean) would make for one nasty surprise. 

Granted probably not allowable, but still fun to ponder.

you forgot inhabilited by a machine sprite with diagnostics as well to give dicepool bonus then have the mage cast analyze device to increase the dice pool even more then make it a Homunculi

For the record: I don't hit people with books. They are worth money, unlike people. I use a 3foot 2x4. It even has a leather wraped grip for extra comfort while braining the offender!


And yes. It would be swinging.

And no. Your possessed, sprite enchanced drone doesn't get shit all in terms of buffs when you detach it cause <pauses for dramatic effect> IT'S DETACHED!!!
