@souffle_girl
have you picked a time period for the game yet?

It looks like the default time period for Season 2 is 2072

Looks like Denver is hosting the Winter Olympics in 2072.

Um, I'm willing to fill whatever roll is needed for the group. Seems like we already have Tech experts, Mage, and breaking and entry. I'd be willing to do a rigger or Street Sam, tell me which you guys would prefer.

I was thinking some sort of Detection Mage or possibly a Troll Street Sam. I could roll up a Rigger as well.

Also, good thing I have Spy Games, that seems to be situated right around the 2072 Olympics, possible right after.

Edit: Actually, I'm leaning heavily towards a Rigger. Probably what I'll go with.

I'd be willing to throw in for this one, as well. I'd be down to play in the first mission and I'd also be willing to GM the 2nd or any subsequent mission as well.

Whatever role needs filling, i could come up with something entertaining to fill it.

I spose I could throw either one of the trolls I've got laying around in.
One is a skilled surgeon and pharmacist busted for selling drugs on the side and branded with a criminal SIN. he now runs the shadows to try and make enough money to start a new life for himself. The other is a low powered adept. He's primarily a driver, and has a really nice tricked out sedan that he runs a private, one man taxi service out of. He's a long time local of whatever city the game starts in. If the group needs to be outsiders, then we can just say he grew up there as a kid, but hasn't been back in years for whatever reason.

so now, it seems the contestants are...

souffle_girl:  elf face with a secondary role as either a decker or a gunslinger
Landmine: elf street samurai/stealth specialist, commando type
Raven Runner: adept secret agent
8-bit: Detection or Illusionist Mage
RagallachMC: Technomancer
Imveros: Sioux mage
saithor: probably rigger
Poindexter: troll doctor, troll wheelman, or elf aspected caster
Shrazkil: Mystic adept Negotiator

Yeah, I'm going adept/agent.  Light face skills, B&E/stealth, light combat.

Will probably be from out of town so actually probably wont read up on Denver a whole lot ;)

Just had a lol moment. Was going to do a Street Sam, and having never done one before, based it off the first street sam I could find, which happened to be Landmine's. Apologies for that  :). Will probably be going Rigger now, will get a build sometime up soon.

I'm almost done with the sheet for a Rigger; still need to think about the backstory.

Edit: saithor, would you rather play a Rigger? I can easily switch if you want.

I'd prefer to, don't really want to have to read up for another character, RL is hard enough as is.

Still a spot souffle_girl? This is looking like a wiz group! Have yet to play SR but alot of DnD and am getting pretty comfortable with basic rules, and quite comfortable with building.

All right, I can fix up another character. I think I'll go with a Detection or Illusionist Magician.

@souffle_girl

If I make a mage, may I take the Spider Mentor Spirit? It is from Bug City; here are it's stats, roughly converted for SR5.

Spider

Advantages: +2 dice for Illusion Spells, +1 die for conjuring all Spirits
Disadvantages: Spider prefers the dark, secret, shadowy places. -2 penalty to all magic tests made by Spider shamans out in the open and away from immediate shelter. Her manner and ways are mercurial, though she does nothing without a plan. At the gamemaster's discretion, add a -1 penalty to all tests when a Spider shaman does not have sufficient time to consider a situation.

I figure that is sufficiently annoying of a drawback, while still allowing an interesting roleplaying experience.

If you don't want me to have it, I'm fine with creating the Detection Mage or just taking another Mentor Spirit.

Ha! No worries. Hope some of it was useful at least.

This leaves me with a question: with a rotating GM, who is going to make rule decisions (like 8-bit's question), and decide who's in the game? I am completely fine with leaving this to souffle_girl, after all, she got the ball rolling and is running things first. But it's kind of an odd situation, so I thought it should be mentioned.

Assuming we don't start hemorrhaging players like some PbP threads do, I think just whatever group we come up with now should be fine. As for rule decisions, I can think it could go a few ways. Either we all decide on some group houserules, we all use souffle_girl's rules, or each GM has their own houserules we follow (and then we can adopt other people's houserules if we want!).

If there is a spot open, i will be bringing along a Mystic adept Negotiator.

Will have around 21-25 negotiation dice, so should be in great shape for any purchases down the line. Those who know me, know i am a frequent poster, so you have someone who posts multiple times a day..
