Title: Greetings and Well Met
Post by: Meltd0wn on <09-03-10/1620:33>
Greetings everyone, as you can see I'm Meltd0wn, and cant wait to get to know everyone on the boards.

I played the original SR (and yes 2nd ed.) and it was my favorite campaign of all the games I had played but then I took a break from all RPGs for several years, and now I'm back I have a handful of 4th ed. books and I'm planning to start running a game in a couple of months.  I'm still getting caught up on the added history and the changes to the system (and the world), so bare with me at first.

Hey buddy... We're working on it. Not our fault you listed "Cremation" as your preferred method of disposal.

Evening, all posters. I am known as BookWyrm on the Dumpshock forums. I got the notice about these forums on Facebook, and now I'm signed up.
Those of you who don't know me from Dumpshock, know that I reat everyone with an equal amout of respect that I am shown. If I feel the need to chime in on a particular thread, I will. I may do some semi-self-promoting (such as relevent conventions or events in my area--the New York City/Long Island area), so now you've been advised. ;)

See you around the boards!

Yeah.  You call the Dragon a cheater and try to take the cards away.

I'll pass on that, thanks.  I've tangled with a dragon or three in my day, and it never ends well.

For me, that is...  The Dragon is usually just dandy.

Or just go to work for the Dragon; that works too

That's what always got me about the "never deal with a Dragon" quote.

Most of the time, it seems like dealing with 'em beats the alternative, y'know?
Title: Re: Greetings and Well Met
Post by: FastJack on <09-05-10/0027:36>
Chances are, even when you think you're not working for a Dragon, you are. Sure, it may not be Lofwyr or Ghostwalker or another of the greats, but theirs plenty of 'minors' out there, looking to build a name and some nuyen to graduate (or whatever it is that Dragons do).

Eh, why not. Yeah, I'm /that/ Jackal. Been running since 2050, aka 1st edition. On dumpshock from time to time but on there I'm listed as [jackal], because someone thought they were funny. Mostly I was on irc.dumpshock.com and now while I'm not on as much anymore I currently run said IRC server. Known Bull for quite a while and I'm slightly less grumpy than he is. :) Unlike him, I will call them hackers now.

He was good, but a little too personable.  William Hurt played with just enough sensitivity and ruthless conviction to pull off the character's obsession with the Hulk.

Sam did look better in the part, though.

Listen pup just keep your wits and hope you don't run into something you can't shoot, talk, blow up, or just walk way from. You can always turn a run down. No amount of money is worth another dead runner.

I was born in the UCAS sir the metapolitics of my people don't concern me. I live by the motto "You don't bring it to me, I won't bring it to you." The rest of the elves can eat veggies and speak of harmony but as for me frag that, I want steak the real stuff.
